  • @AirsoftC3 It is an 'MT Racing Silver Fox'. Made in Japan mid 80's. Basically a Redline copy. I have put redline stickers on it. Look it up on BMX museum.com

  • great job.

nice trip down memory lane. well done.

im trying to get my son to ride one of my restored bikes, a 76 DG and a 77 Diamond back.

i saved my two favorite bikes even while i was in the military .

i never knew i would meet another old BMX bike fan.

nice to know you guys are out there.

  • Great work. I used to have a 91 GT Performer, and I thought it was the best bike ever made. Now I look back and laugh, thinking about how crappy that bike really was in design. The whole thing felt like it was made out of rubber, and I used to break parts all the time, even though I couldn't do any tricks that were that gnarly and I weighted less than 150 lbs. Anyways, great job. Your restorations bring joy.

  • thats so cool. i still have my mongoose somewhere from the 80's makes me want to do a restore. even has the BMX badge on the front tube. loved this video ty for sharing

  • That pic of you on your new bike back in the 80's says it all.

  • beautifully restored man weldone.happy days the old school bmx'in.I used to race regionally it was fun.Ive restored a raleigh tuff burner but given the money id like a mongoose grand prix,my brother got it pinched from outside a chip shop when he borrowed it lol

  • I miss those days.

  • nice job man. im working on cleaning up a bike right now:)

  • Hi,I love your bikes very well done, your young chap is very lucky with his bike.

Ive just restored my raleigh extra burner I got in 1983 when I was 11.

I was without it for 3 months as it was taken without my consent but as luck would have it I have it back safe and sound.

I loved every second restoring it as it realy is a labour of love, just put back together yesterday,I can't wait to try it out as the last time I rode it was 1998.

it will be passed on to my daughter,PS good video, thanks

  • I used to have a redline pl-20, that thing was sooo light it was rediculous

  • haha good job on the resto i had an mid 80's Redline 300a rode the crap out of that bike and never broke anything and i'm now going out today to buy a BMX for the girlfriends daughter things come full circle..

  • skateboarding is better though .. Z-TOWN .. skateboarding was bigger .. but bmxing is fun

  • Thats rad. I have a blue one that I rebuilt about 10 years ago.

  • Your kid is so lucky.. How could you give it to him, it will probably get wrecked..

    No Offence

  • Cheers for the comment. No chance of it getting wrecked, he knows how special it is. I have taught my kids to respect their toys, and that they are privileged to have such things. They are also now aware of the fact that their bikes do not have to be brand new from a shop, but can be older ones fixed up.

  • @LawrenceRoy

fair play to you m8 !

  • @MyManBoobz he should so give it to you and me no one else right

  • dude you got me when you made a bike for your son that's is way cool it is a good thing i dont know you cause i would steal te redline from you..sweet 80's bike

  • thanks for the comment, glad you liked it.

  • ESTO ES ALGO K NUNCA SE OLBIDA

  • That's a great video and quite honesty left a tear in my eye. I have an Redline MX-III that I bought with all my savings and spare change back in 1981. 3 days ago I pulled the old Redline out of my attic after seeing some of the Ebay pricing on these old school BMX bikes. I kept the bike, thinking one of my kids may some day ride it. It has not been ridden because it "only one gear and no shocks". I'm either going to restore it for my youngest or sell it. Your video is a great inspiration.

  • thanks, cool that you still have your original bike.

  • @DoubleAction2 are your kids crazy ive always wanted a redline but they are to expensive for mto buy one

  • Dude!!! I love your Redline. A few years ago I found a Redline and restored, new stickers, new tires everything new, my old school redline looks good too!! I'm 41 but I love to ride!!

  • thanks

  • @chilangazo Where did you find the stickers for it? I still have my Redline390 I bought when I was 13. I would love to go through that bike and fix it up, it's been years.

  • @californiakid521 I got them from eBay

  • Very nice man thanx

  • my dad has had his SE RIPPER for 30 years and hes restoreing it now

  • Hey man, thanks for the nice comment. It's a small world on youtube because I had ready seen your clip of your 'ripper'. Very cool. Thanks again..

  • I am rebuilding a Redline and I think it's a 1993 RL 340, but I am not sure. It was a full chrome frame, but got badly rusted and now much of the chrome is pitted. I have gotten most of the rust off, but the bike's finish does not look too hot. Any advice?

  • I got mine re-chromed. The chrome plater stripped off the existing chrome in an acid bath. Then preped the surface for new chrome on a saning / polishing machine. Looks brand new now.

  • Ive got an 80s or 70s redline fully restored is any one interseted in buying?

  • I have always had redlines!!! they are the real deal i have just built up a mint series three 500a!! i adore it ps this tune is jan hammer .. crockets theme oldschool all the way!!

  • theyre tank mofuckers too

  • Thanks for your comment, however they are not tanks at all, but in fact are very light weight race bikes. Way lighter than any modern freestyle BMX.

  • i have a redline, i'm looking for peragrine mags for it (black ones)

  • this song from bloodsport? awesome, i had a nice redline and ive been searching for one line it to rebuild on the internet and i cant find one anywhere i think it was a 1988 rl120? i dont remember, sweet ride, big ups

  • Sweet bike.
