Cracks me up that all these folks say that you will only gain a few pounds.LIARS! I was training for a 1/2 marathon when I quit and I gained about 18# Now that I have done my 1/2 marathon and have cut back on the long mileage, I am up to a 25# gain. I still run and eat healthy. Its just that my metabolism is completely screwed due to years of nicotine. I take responsibility for my mistakes, but I just get REALLY annoyed with folks like this who have never been addicted to anything. So clueless.
Im 27 and I just quit smoking cigarettes and weed 3 months ago and i have gained like 20 pounds, im 6'4'' and now weight 203 pounds, when you're tall and skinny the weight gain is not that visible at first. When i feel like smoking i beast out on food instead and it has helped me, im going to cut down on food once i reach 215-220.
If you quit smoking and you eat alot you will gain way more than 5 pounds, more like 10 times that, so be careful.
im 27 years old and i quit smoking cigarettes & weed 3 months ago and i have gained like 20 pounds, im 6'4'' and now weight 203 pounds, im tall and skinny so the weight gain part helped me out cause i needed to gain weight. everytime i feel like smoking i eat instead and i feel like im blowing up, i will cut down on the food once i reach 220.
Don't believe that you will only gain 5 pounds............... u will gain 10 times that if you beast out on food without cigarettes.
I gained 50lbs the first time i quit smoking for a year. I took up smoking again thinking the weight would go away. Yeah, right. I finally took the weight off and now I am quitting smoking again. I have found that it helps to drink a metric TON of water and I weigh myself daily. I go for a brisk walk after dinner to make me not miss that after dinner smoke. I am into day 7 with no weight gained. Hopefully it will continue...
@darksoulvamp It's sad how vain women seem to be now ie want to smoke to lose weight, what a joke puting looks above health ! It's just like or worse than guys who take steroids to beef up. Sick of women saying I'm so fat, wish they'd get over themselves, yeah they have their reasons but stop trying to look like skeletons, it's yuk anyway ! Now I'm probably opening up a can of works, just thought I'd try reverse psychology ; p
I am doing p90x and eating loads of dill pickles... I was drinking sugary coffee daily but I am stopping that because I just put on about 10 lbs... I can lose weight... and I am quitting alcohol too.
Use some common sense people - this is more rubbish. You will gain lots of weight - not- "miniscule" amounts. Look around you at the new obesity epidemic!
They will be calling you a fat B***ard next and 'de-normalising' the overweight!
watching so many videos on smoking makes one want to smoke too...
