little boy michael has been my friend sense we were babys i was in preschool with him he is even in my class this year, he is an awesome, funny, nice person! Always cry when i hear this story :'(
please keep in mind that unrestrained passengers can injure or kill other passengers when their bodies become projectile objects in a crash. one person's seatbelt choice affects everyone in the vehicle. it's not about liberty
It's frightening how quickly liberty cedes to tyranny when done in the name of "public safety." C'mon folks... we all KNOW what you're supposed to do. Stop big brother and the erosion of something more precious than life itself- the gift of liberty. We don't need more government; we just need people to bear responsibility for their own actions.
The problem is that "older responsible" people don't pass on the sense of responsibility for their actions to the younger ones. That is what this law is about. I agree it is sad that it takes a law to make people take responsiblity for themselves. Oh, and by the way, that is me and my family in the video.
hmmmn in the u.k everyone of all ages must wear a seatbelt or get a fine and points on their licence, and there are laws regarding child seats and booster cusions, im not sure what the hights are exactly but its the same as volvo recomends. which also carries a fine and points. and with almost all cars on the market having seatbelt reminders who wouldnt buckle up anyway if not just to stop the annoying bongs ticks or flashing lights?
Thanks for you comments. As much as America "thinks" it is a "leader" all that is good we have so far to go in things that really matter. Thanks for your comment. Spread the word. Seatbelts save lives, even if you are British...hahahahahaahaha Keep on keepin' on and God Bless... Thanks for viewing. You are our first 'world wide' commenter. Thanks.
When are people going to get it, seatbelts and carseats save lives. In NC all passengers regarless of age or seating position must be restrained. Ages 0-1 and up to 20lbs RF, then up to 5 or 40lbs FF, then up to 8 or 80lbs in a booster. They recently added the part about the booster and about people over 15 wearing seatbelts and I was glad to hear it.
Jon- So sorry about your wife's death. Glad that you are trying to make a difference for safety. Hope that all people get your messege to buckle up & their kids too. Take Care.
damn you got bullshit laws, in california it's click-it-or-ticket, everyone better be wearing their seatbelts. seatbelts save lives so just because it isnt against the law in your state to drive/ride in a vehicle without a seatbelt you still should always wear one. how many more people are going to have to die to change mindset of others, seatbelts save lives so please buckle up.
