Well, your other recording you mention was probably done in a professional studio, don't you think? I do my recordings at home. That's a big difference. I used to play a Steinway M but shifted to a larger Baldwin L and like the sound far better. I wouldn't want to return to Steinway again. Thanks for the nice compliment on my playing!

Glad you enjoyed this Debussy performance! Regarding pianos, I switched from New York Steinway to Baldwin in 1984 and have never looked back. I've always found too that Baldwin's timbre is perfect for impressionistic music.
