  • The slide at 7:00 made me chordgasm hardcore. You guys owe me a new laptop. :P

  • This is awesome. Who did the Old Mill Stream arrangement? Is it Burt Szabo's?

  • I think that the slide at 7:00 has the potential to cause random time leaps.

  • Who's the arranger for this arrangement of "Wait 'til the sun shines, Nellie"? and where can I get their info?

  • @guitarherokevin I was wondering the same thing!

  • your intonation is perfect. just amazing.

  • Sweet Jesus i still cant get over this ARGHHHHHH this is sooo disgusting hahah i love it

  • THAT slide at 7:00 is CRAZY!!! even the overtones were surprised

  • @Rubano5428 lol you found nearly every video of barbershop on youtube and have commented on it. but that slide is sick!!!!

  • haha it is

  • these guys are even more amazing in person. i have met them all at my barbershop camp they were the teaching quartet and i got to know the guy who sings lead family pretty well

  • @barbershopgirl92 The lead is my cousin. I'm hoping that when he comes into town, I will have improved my voice so we can have a family quartet =)

  • phenomenal.

love how a great quartet sang these legit barbershop songs. it shows that you don't have to sing some crazy arr. to win. these arr are from wayyy back in the day!

  • That tag is unbelievable... I might have shit my pants on 7:00. That slide just changed my life :)

  • Texeira. But who's keeping track?

  • Comment removed

  • Gary Texiara

  • Garry Texiera. learn to spell.

  • and yes, he's pretty sweet.

  • 7:02 was awesome!!!!! Fantastic!

  • The guy in the green (far right) is the director of the Barbershop im in at a local church. He's definately one of the best.

  • one of the cleanest, and best executed sets os all time.

  • Louder.

    ;-)

  • Man the slide at 7:02ish is wicked.

  • The sound and power they create is just awesome!

  • Was that the stanard chart tag for Wait til the Sunshines Nellie? LOL, just kidding. Unbelievable how a couple of polecats can sound and ring like that.

  • I think this could very well be the really solid blending quartet of this decade... I mean look at how they can slide and harmonize all slides... and win with classic songs... its nearly unheard of.

  • Awesome! What a treat! Thanks for sharing!

  • gary is amazing :] he's my chorus director haha

  • Gotcha! is the first quartet that REALLY moved me. I was devastated when they announced that they were retiring at the 2008 International AIC Show a few days ago. I can honestly say that I don't hold any quartet in higher regard, and I've listened to a LOT of quartets. Phil DeBar is my dad (if that means anything to anyone) and I know amazing quartets when I see them! :) they won't be forgotten, that's for sure

  • Talk about your screaming overtone! Amazing!

  • There is nothing like ringing the old songs and then to win the whole international contest with two standards is unbelievable. I know they ring when I sing them but I have never heard them ring like that. I don't think they missed one chord without an overtone. WOW!!! Awesome job.

  • WOW! the slides are immense. i am in awe! incredible.

  • The swipe on "Nelly" is mesmerizing!! Better than the Old School one featured in a video on here somewhere. Ingenious!!

BTW, Garry Texeria= Steve Kovach stretched out

  • Who is Steve Kovach?

  • He was the bari for Uptown Sound, multi-time silver medalists. Went to school with him. They have a similar look (goatee, hairstyle) is all I meant, but Garry's a little taller.

  • Gotcha rocks my socks! Love you guys! Had a blast with y'all at HX Camp in Rochester NY! I especially loved "More I Cannot Wish You..." my *dedication*.. hehehe! HUGS!

  • They performed at the show for the summer camp I attended this last weekend. The bass was unable to attend, so Cory from OC Times was filling in for him. Something about a hip replacement.

  • Beautiful vocals,a pleasure to listen to.From Graham in sunny Cornwall UK

  • that tenor is nuts

  • Yes he is! I love nuts!!! hehehe!

  • They are awesome...realli glad theyre coming here 2 Australia...but hope theyre not competing against us..lol

  • What a freaking weird chord slide from 6:57 to 7:07. That whole tag just kinda...weirds me out.

  • This chord slide is just incredable, definately the most impressive i've heard in barbershop! It just keeps going and going, and you can't guess where it leads, love it!

  • And the swipe is guaranteed to give you goosebumps every bit of the way! Wow!

  • how u figure this is out of sync?? do you know nething about singing, and vocals? llewri...u r an idiot

  • The video is out of sync with the audio.

  • lol did you watch the video??? you shouldn't call someone an idiot when you can't figure it out yourself! haha

  • No, he's right. Gotcha! was known as a "ventriloquist quartet", being that their mouths never matched the words. Even when they appeared to stop singing, there was still sound coming from somewhere, and vice versa. Quite a rare talent for 4 guys to master!!!

  • I love the ending of the second song!!!

  • good

  • Lovely voices - pity it is out of sync :<
