Thanks for the instruction - I have mastered the spinning quite well but have had problems with plying! my yarn ends up uneven; loose in patches and quite tight in other sections.

What is 'counting'? What purpose does it have, how do I do it and what should the outcome be? I am ruining some nicely spun yarn with some very poor plying!
