me too, i know this works because i have done it before but i had to restore to 2.2.1 because i forgot my passcode and it disabled my phone i then downgraded to 2.0.1 but i get error 1600 when i try to install the custom ipsw

make sure you followed steps of this video. once you click this ipsw builder another page will pop up and select your customize firmware that you made and click open. ENJOY!

thank you soooo much for this video, i spent 3 days on the computer trying to find a fix to my original unlocked iphone that i was using in canada, then i updates it to 2.0 and it crashed, i spent hours on the computer researching and finally came across your video which saved me. have simcard or no is ok. just dont forget to do DFU mode to enter your customize firmware.

do u remember what was your last version when your iphone locked? If it is 2.0 then use this firmware when building ipsw. maybe youre using wrong firmware for your device.

can I use this for iphone edge, i tried it many times but it shutdown when it gets close to finish to build the iwps. What can i do, thanks alot

actually mine too, it shutdown when it close to finish. this is my problem i hope someone could help us here.

to stop winpwn from shutting down during the process, resize the partition in the partition resizer tab to 551 Mb and it should create the ipsw just fine.

I personally never had this problem ever. So test this and let me know if this works. Good luck.
