I made a typo, that Blacksmith Elixir 29% was suppose to be "Alchemy Enchant 29%" Were Created Potions are 29% more powerful.

I would like to mention that you can craft your own potions to make Blacksmith Elixir do 29%. It takes time but you need to enchant gear for alchemy then make Enchanters Elixir, then re-craft a new set of gear or alchemy, rinse repeat and now you have four pieces of gear that can make Enchanting Elixir 32% stronger. Then enchant your blacksmith gear to 29% better. Then you can make Blacksmiths Elixir that makes 95% better. Blisterwort, Saber Cat Tooth.

update, ok.. so you did remember to use the potion.

Is good to point out that it doesnt matter if the item you are disenchanting has a low level skill. Just disenchant that skill and you can reinchant it on any item and the strength is determined by the type of soul gem you use.. Black soul gems are nice but are no different than Grand once filled......

You can not without cheating. NO body sells fortify smithing gear in an unmodded game.

Even if they did you could not aford to buy it with a new toon. A new toon does not have any of the stuff or money required to do this. You have to cheat to do it.

3rd item is not required, nor will it make the potion better. The only way to get the potion better is to increase your alchemy or create "Fortify Alchemy" clothes sets. Good luck.

Fortify smithing enchantment and potion totally ruin the game. You can achieve armor cap (587, i think...) way too easy, and make those heavy (light) armor perk useless. The smithing skill's level is no longer important either, all you need is one perk in steel smithing so you can make godly steel armors (blade armor, for example).

The weapon you forge also become too powerful, and most mobs die in one swing.

If you want a real challenge, try to stay away form these game-breaking features.

@900SuperKoopa Just try waiting outside Belethor's in Whiterun until he gets something smithing enchanted. It might take a few 24 hr periods in game (a few minutes). Then disenchant and go to town using the grand gems on some apparel you've gathered for smithing.

@nirrrr It doesn't matter what the original item's percent was, because all disenchanting is doing is learning the skill. The soul gem that you use when enchanting is what determines the percent for your items.

okay i think 20% is tops on the xbox, thats with black/grand souls. even with fortify enchanting it only brings it up to 22, and thats limit as far as i can tell there is no way to enchant any higher unless i find a peerless alchmey item somewhere so i can make stronger fortify enchanting potions. but double enchanted weapons and armour i make with that still make me practically immortal

get one decent enchantment like turn undead, buy/find petty soul gems... then enchant all the daggers/crap weapons you find. it takes a long time but thats how i got my enchanting up, you can sell the dagger even at low speech you will get more than the cost of an empty petty soul gem. you will need to get soul trap, go out and kill mudcrabs and foxes to fill your petty gems... stop soul trapping when all petty gems are used or it will start filling lesser gems with petty souls
