finally someone commented on this. i check these videos every morning when I wake up at 3 or 4. we are doing the southgate store sunday, and are expecting a big crowd there. We protested taco bell and mcdonalds and similar restaurants and got some results, and hope for the same for publix. we know they got the money. if they can afford to remodel their facilities every 2 years they can afford a penny a pound to the less well off farmers.
I think the seville store(store shown after 3:30 in this video) expected the worst, because they had all the front end checkout people wearing bright yellow shirts, and all the supervisors were standing by the front entrances.
I live in lakewood estates neighborhood which is a block away from these two st pete stores. The first store was the baypoint plaza publix, and the 2nd store was the seville square plaza publix(used to be albertsons). I was getting gas at marathon in front of the seville publix and they were yelling that publix only paid a few pennies a hour to pick tomatoes and that publix was pushing them into poverty. They told me they ain't going to stop protesting publix stores till they get paid more.
Wow, a bunch of illegal aliens chanting in Spanish. Imagine that.
We need to round up the illegal aliens and deport them.

I'm a supporter of most issues. But this? This is a back burner at best.... a lot bigger concerns then this in America right now!
