Ed Shipley's a pretty good pilot to handle that without the military training that Snodgrass has. I wonder if the average civilian pilot could handle that with proper training?
Civilian pilots are generally better sticks than military guys. They fly a more diverse range of airplanes which have 1/30th the technical hardware modern fighters do and they do this in all weather, day and night. Military pilots are trained to do one thing. KILL!
I heard a rumor that the Red White and Blue Saber crashed killing the pilot. I know that a few months ago that same F-86 came in on it's wing tanks when it's right main landing gear didn't extend.
Snodgrass isn't in the military any more, so stop calling him 'Captain.'
