Not to be critical, but don't put a review on here if you aren't going to have sound and/or speak about the features of the tablet. This isn't very helpful for anyone trying to find out more information about the tablet.

this device really rocks.. I go online with it.. full internet browsing.. and you can always root the rom and customize it.. as powerful as a galaxy tab don't let the 100$ price tag confuse you.. this just has been modified by maylong and the only way to customize it with it's full potential would be by rooting it.. pretty sweet device the way it comes from the company in the box btw. I'm getting a 10 inch coby kyros soon. :)

and the camera is pretty decent.. like it's not a crazy HD alien 51 tech camera but still takes nice pictures you know. :) are you getting this? I bought it for my girlfriend. ^_^ she loves it.

okay ipad $600+ or this thing for $150 +/-.......yea its not an ipad. its a "budget" pad. quit complaining that its not an ipad......well duh dip sh!t its not and it wont be. if youve got the $600+ go ahead but if you dont well this will do fine if you want something small that can do basics (aka wifi web browsing) i would be fine buying this but maybe i'd spend a few extra bucks to get the archos 7 (also a "budget" pad)

Actually, this device has been updated and the performance increases are very good. XDA Developers and others have rooted it and are working on newer versions of Android for it. Also, there are ways to put the real Android Market on it.

Seriously. If someone can produce some decent software for it it could totally replace the $250 uber-expensive all-display Logitech remote controls, or some other niche purpose. Reeeally cool, I want one. (I already have an iPad. And an ExoPC.)

So far this thing has proven decent as an XBMC controller. Beyond that it's another gadget that might just sit around, therefore it may go back to Walgreens.

PLEASE, if you're thinking about getting one of these, take a look at the iPod touch as well.

I own an iPod touch and have been looking at videos of this thing... I'm really not impressed nor am I in the very least convinced it's worth the price. For $100 more you can get a much, MUCH better tablet (yeah, the iPod touch is basically the "iPad mini").

Please, for the sake of good, if you're looking at this... look at the iPod touch, too. - (Someone who works at Walgreens >_>)

@KikiTottori I understand where your point, but you're missing one huge issue here. If somebody actually had $200 to spend on a tablet, it wouldn't be on this thing. The reason why it's a viable choice is because what it can do for $100, not just what it can do.

First, dude... appreciate the thought behind making a vid of this device, but JFC use a real video camera. It looks like crap. I can't make out anything other than the largest of letters, because the resolution is so poor. A effort, F for execution.

I'm wondering myself about buying one of these, just to give me 3 year old something to play with in the car. This way, if it breaks, I'm not too sad. I'm thinking just to load it up with a bunch of videos, and see how it goes.

...looks like a rebranded 'flytouch'. just lookup flytouch on youtube, and im sure the performance, or lack thereof, is the same with both devices. archos for the win. google archos 70 if you want a real android experience... samsung galaxy tab too expensive, in my opinion, and therefore if u got 600 bucks to spend, get an ipad. android is an aquired taste. but if you're like me and have acquired such a taste, and LOVE it, you'll spend the money on the Archos 70, or Archos 101.

FYI, the Apple Ipad is also made in china, makes you wonder how much profit Apple is making off the Ipad, This Maylong probably only cost about $10 to make, the Ipad cost maybe $30 to make, all you need is plastic, chips and software how expensive can that be?

@jupiterscastle um, no not really. you need workers as well, a factory, production, manufacturing, shipping, and inventory costs. iPad definitely doesn't cost $30 to make...lol and add the research and development costs plus the apple brand and you get what you pay for.

I was talking about the materials involved to make the actual item, not the workers being paid etc, but if you were to add the workers, shipping etc, probably $50 or 60 dollars. I buy from China all the time and know how cheap (doesn't mean quality cheap) these items are to make with the raw materials. This item for example is selling for $100 (or 129 retail), it probably cost about $10-15 the most. The Apple Ipad definately less than $50 to make, Apple sells it back for $500 smart
