  • Also get some large alligator clips for your test leads so they stay attached to the battery cable and battery post. If you interrupt the connection the car will wake up and you'll have to start all over again. Just replace the final stage for the blower fan and be done with it. Haha.

  • For the car to go to sleep all doors have to be closed, hood, and trunk. On the trunk just use a screwdriver to close the latch so you can get to the battery. Also the key needs to be removed from the ignition. It will take about 20 minutes for the car to go to sleep. You should have around .050 mA or less current draw. More if you have any aftermarket electronics installed in the vehicle.

  • After hearing "Hope I'm doing this right"  I turned it off.

  • i had this problem with my 523i i took i think number 3 or 5 thick red wire from the board that can be seen in this video it cured but never found out what caused it hope this helps.
