Is really funny how this song team with your accent! You know the history behind this song? They(Novos Baianos) make they song to João Gilberto daughter, when she was very young she couldnt speak portuguese so well(because she born in a mix of portuguese/spanish). Bebel Gilberto said 'acabou chorare' to João Gilberto, whats mean 'im okay, you dont really have to worry about me'

obrigado, andré. my obsession for brasilian music surfaced watching seu jorge on 'the life aquatic' about three years ago. i bought a guitar then and started learning bossa nova. i was very fortunate to meet someone who lent me the 'acabou chorare' album early on in my obsession. it's such a great album.

thanks! no home studio yet... i recorded in my office - a space that used to be the vocal booth of a college radio station. i used 2 shure sm58's recorded onto a ZOOM H4 handy recorder and dumped that into a freeware multitrack recording program called Audacity to mix and add some light reverb. added some black skirting and single strong light source for the looks. i only wish i had brought my nice guitar with me to work that day!
