  • Johnny is the man! He is also an extremely nice guy. Always good to see Kim with a top notch guitar player. For those of you that don't know Moeller is one of the best!

  • now that's an original guitar solo and a nice looking telecaster. Finding threasures like these is the reason ýoutube is the best invention since the wheel

  • re: noremorse10 - First saw Johnny in Glasgow, then back home in London. Thanked him for a great gig: very humble, very sweet man.....x

Me and my ol' man love his 'stance': he's got a really nice stage presence.

Been in lurve with Kim since I saw him and the original T Birds line up (incl J.R.V) in London around 79/80: been hooked on Mr K.W. ever since.

Waiting for the T Birds to come back to the UK....try to catch them this summer hopefully x

Yep: WHY do people talk all the way thro a gig?????

  • I have never heard of Johnny Moeller but he is plain sick on that axe. I have one of Kim Wilson's albums, "smokin joint". It contains this very song in a different live performance with different musicians. The solo for this song is pretty sweet on that album but I don't think it's as good as this performance. Pure talent these guys.

  • A great lineup. I looove Johnny Moeller's playing. Was sad to see him leave Nulisch.

What I do not understand are folks who do not appreciate the direction that a band takes with new players.

  • Yes SRVMOE, everywhere I go these morons actually yell so they can be heard. It drives me crazy. I'm going to print a tshirt where the back says: shut the f^&k up while the band is playing

  • @TexasMist

I'm getting one too....thanks for the idea

    "Festival T-Shirt"

  • to many blabbermouths at these shows...

why don't you all shut the fu*k up !!!

and listen to the blues !!!! aholes...

  • Moeller ain't no Bobby Radcliffe!

  • this is true! but he is a johnny moeller.

  • Si, si pero todos copian al gran Duke Robillard y no le llegan ni a la suela del zapato

  • too bad he couldn't get back with Jimmy Vaughan those two shine together

  • crap? you either need glasses and/or a hearing device

  • Well Guitaranharp you certainly present yourself as a authority on The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and I am guessing the Blues genre in general. I also am going to take a leap and guess you are not a professional musician, or music critic . So what compels you to take the time out of your....I won't go as far as to say busy... schdule and insult a very exciting, and innovative musician who would treat you with nothing but kindness and respect upon meeting you.

  • Niiiiiiiiice solo there.....

  • yikes, no jimmie vaughan, no t-birds.

  • Agreed.

  • FANTASTIC solo by Johnny Moeller. You can't see it, but I'm taking off my hat... Great!

  • REally impresive! Very good stuuf! I saw Tbirds in Barcelona this years they are always great doesn t matter who plays!

    Regards

  • Great solo. A surprise.. since I thought I would see J. Vaughan playing here! I will definitely keep an eye on the Fab Thunderbirds.

  • OK the Tbirds are back ( no mention to the JV & KF era, I agree... ahh Keith...). Guitar sounds kind of 60' ( early Buddy G. influence among athers, no?) isntead of the 50' sound by JV. to be continued...

  • i think so too, guundar, 'golden age' Buddy Guy played with total soul and feeling, really dig it and look forward to more from Johnny Moeller, gotta see them next time they come through.

  • junior wells classic.....

  • i dig the bass playing on this too.

  • That's Randy Bermudes, he's great. He was most recently, till joining the TBirds, in the Charlie Musselwhite band. Played on one of the Rusty Zinn records, and a lot others.

  • nice cuz

  • That solo sounds prettttttttttttty old school! Very cool........

  • Kim can pick 'em, that's for damn sure. As usual, from Kim on down, there isn't a weak spot in the band. imo.

  • i know what you mean, once again i'm asking myself (except for the JV & Keith Ferguson line up) 'is this the best TBird's ever? they're all great. Johnny Moeller really digs in on this one, killer. and Kim's singing too. great to see.

  • Great to see the Moeller Brs. with the T-Birds!

    Fantastic.

    T.

  • Awesome! I just went to one of their shows in Newport a few weeks ago... got to meet the whole band backstage... one hell of a show they put on!!
