  • teeth are UK,dont be a twat...please...sooo rude,Dusty is the best ! Why say that??

  • She's got really nice teeth. Are you sure she's from the UK?

  • SULTRY!!!!!!!!!!

  • She was a druggie, and had a relationship w/tennis star ................what's her name!

  • Because of YouTube, Dusty is even better in perpetuity. Blessed talent.

  • Just gorgeous. I don't think Dusty realized how beautiful she was, inside and out, or how powerful and sensual her voice was. If she only knew how many hearts she has touched and how many souls she has set free. You live on with us Dusty in your songs.

  • @MareluvsDust. I think she did realize her own beauty but she didn't think her audience did until the 70's and then she knew.

  • An absolute legend. Theres not one female artist around today that can match up to Dusty...youre missed babes :(

  • What happened to talent like her? Sometimes you don't realalize it until it's gone.

  • that intro is classic!

  • THAT is sizzling.

  • It bring back lots of good memorias

  • Dusty Springfield,s music is a joy to listen to,May she sing with the angels, when her energy is shared, a new generation will be there to pay homage--thanks.

  • Music.Mmmmmm never mind the politics

  • why, does her great legacy, have to be vulgarized, by converting her into the, "great white hope". sounds like a lot of inferiority complex bullshit, from those who have a need to identify as "white". in case you are wondering, the world sees me as "white',but, i choose to not give a shit, about such nonsense. i'm just a person, like everyone else. to hell with racial constructs!

  • What a voice. How could anyone thumb this down?

  • Dusty, everytime I hear this beautiful song I 'm overwelmed with sweet memories, tears in my eys!.

She is the best for ever and ever !!

  • GiovannaNYC Me too me too lol.

  • People... please don't feed the trolls. If you ignore MrDasolutions and his ilk, they will go away much quicker. Feed them and they keep coming back for more! So again, I ask you please, do not feed the trolls!

  • It never ceases to amaze me how evil some of you internet people with small, paltry lives can be.

This woman has been dead for over 20 years. In her day she sang with Sinatra, headlined in Vegas and had a dignified funeral having died from cancer.

If for no other reason she was a human being who lived a life and deserves respect for doing so.

What music have you created and who will mourn you when you're gone?

  • MrDasolution If you dislike her so much why you even here? Keep hiding behind your religion and ego it's not going to help you. In other words "get a grip"

  • feminine, she had smooth silky sexy voice, a pretty face,

    beautiful legs.

  • THOSE EYES AND THAT HAIRDO, MY MY MY. SHE WAS A VERY ATTRACTIVE FEMALE INDEED. AND THAT SULTRY VOICE TO TOP IT ALL OFF. A TRUE FEMME FATALE IN THE FLESH.

  • @hector69ize YES SHE WAS A DIKE THOUGH....AND EXPERIMENTED ALOT....

  • @kmcl11 I did "not" know about this revealing and dirty llittle details regarding her sexual prefferences. Are you 100% sure of what you're declaring? if so I couldn't care anymore. The fact remains that she was a fantastic and very attractve female capable of singing like very few females can. And that my friend is talent.

  • @MrDasolution UGLY ASS DYKE? UGLY ASS DYKE???? I HAVE NEVER, EVER SEEN SUCH A TALENTED AND ATTRACTIVE FEMALE THAT SINGS AS BEAUTIFUL AS DUSTY HERSELF. SHE DID NOT TRYED TO SOUND OR LOOK BLACK AT ALL AND NEITHER SHE FAILED LIKE VANILLA ICE. HOW CAN YOU MAKE SUCH A HORRIBLE COMPARISON? HOW CAN YOU PUT HER NEXT TO A NOBODY? YOU KNOW NOTHING OF WHAT A GREAT SINGER IS ALL ABOUT.

  • @kmcl11 Intimidated by dykes are we? I heard your mother was one. A bike? Oh sorry, I misheard.

  • @23071957jazzman dike!

  • @kmcl11 You're absolutely right. I feel lyke a real stupid cant for posting this.

  • @23071957jazzman Get over this.

  • Beautiful song; beautiful woman

She was the Look of Love

  • Never did a female sing a song as sultry and soulfully as this Thanks Dusty for the memories RIP

  • We're lucky to have found you, Dusty, and we wish we could have held on to you for so much longer.

  • Thank you so much for this video and thanks to everyone that posts great nostalgic videos like this that so many of us cannot track down or find! One of the few reasons I love YouTube - for this! Thank you!

  • Dusty was a brilliant singer and no amount of negative comments can change that.

  • dusty's music EVERGREEN

  • 9th

  • marvelous

  • god, how i love this song and so so miss great singers like dusty, petula clark and karen carpenter! thank forever the invention of recorded music, where these great voices and songs will be with us forever!

  • 13 people must have never experienced 'The look of love' and obviously have no class.

  • I love her studio version of this song (the best ever), but this brief live version is pretty remarkable, her voice is so beautiful and soulful on it. She was an incredible singer.

  • This woman melts my boxer shorts.

  • You couldn't get more sultry than this!

  • HER VOICE MAKES ME SHIVER ...SO TALENTED SO BEAUTIFUL SO UNDER RATED...BEST BRITISH FEMALE SINGER WITHOUT A DOUBT...MISS YOU DUSTY XX

  • I love this woman; such a classy singer and so beautiful too!

Check out the many Dusty gems on Youtube. She is so talented.

Thank you Dusty you are amazing but you left us too soon. Your legacy lives on...

  • #64 best songs of the 60s Dusty Springfield - The look of love

  • Diana can Krall into a cave after Dusty's rendition made this a legend. This is goosebump time. (Nonetheless, Krall is definitely and differently talented - but IMO, no competition for her forerunner.)

  • i kinda have a cute version of this <3 check it out

  • she reminds me of my grandma<3, so beautiful

  • Such a remarkable voice, I miss you so much.

  • I'm gonna go ahead and say it. She looks like Paris

  • @bradlysweet Do you think? For me, she has more of a Princess Di look.

  • @bradlysweet Not really. But if she does, she left something behind her that made the world a better place. When Paris Hilton dies all she'll leave behind will be a disgusting amount of cash. Probably to her dog.

  • @bradlysweet You're absolutely right, Dusty looked so "Paris" - so beautiful, so elegant, so classy..., No question she's one of the best female singers from UK ever.... She's always my idol and I never care about her sexual or private life, I just want her beautiful image to live in my mind forever

  • I mean Dusty is as gorgeous and classy as Paris, France, not Paris Hilton.

  • OMG! I absolutely love this! Dusty is so amazing!

    Mandy Mason

  • Good song but too short

  • was that the Diana Shore show? or Merv Griffin maybe.. thank you. Or Mike.. uh. gosh forget his last name... :O

  • This is what a classy woman with dignity and sounds looks like.

  • absolutely fabulous song, eternal

  • Man, she was GORGEOUS!!!!

  • Quite simply the most beautiful, sensual and sexy piece of music ever. Take a bow Dusty and Burt.

  • Great James Bond theme song. One of my faves.

  • A carpetmuncher if ever i seen one.

  • Women of her generation had such formidable poise and class, they were truly the artists.

  • @caleb6868 You got that right..."we" fell off the rail somewhere along the way.

  • @caleb6868 - If you think going down on another woman is considered "classy", then your definition of class really sucks.

  • @caleb6868 Before the gender class wars...it must have been a good life:) I wish I was there!

  • @caleb6868 Ah yes...I agree

The days when a female performer's accolades were earned, not bought .

And sexiness was not added in post.

Just a talented singer a great band arrangement and a mic.

    Simplicity.

  • @caleb6868 Dusty was unique even then.

  • ok, who has "fantisies" about Dusty, raise your hand!

  • Dnload the audio from this tune at thetunify doht cohm.

  • Her voice sounds like velvet

  • class.

  • Small gestures, beautiful voice, great musician, wonderful music...

None of the crap we have to endure these days on the radio and tv...

    Simple, but clean... LOVE IT!!!

  • @ChrisAnuston OK. That was random.

  • I still remember the first time I heard this on the radio. I rarely bought singles but I went right out and bought this one.

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • I still LOVE her so............... 1939 - 1999 - still surrounded by her haunting voice; such a beautifully smooth performer.

  • When two great creative and talented forces come together we get this sort of Brilliance!

I do believe I read this song was written w/ Dustys voice in mind, by Burt Bacharac

This was one of her finest moments. .

  • If you don't like this song, do the world a favor and don't listen to music anymore!!

  • great voice but she should let go of her corny hand gestures.

  • @freeqwerqwer Springfield often wrote bits and pieces of the song lyrics on her hand -- because she was nearsighted and didn't wear her glasses on stage, she would often wave her hands in front of her face if she needed a quick look at the lyrics.

  • I don't think she ever looked better...

  • Dusty's best song for me.

  • @bengusandlex Agree with this, even though there were a lot of her songs competing with this one!

  • @bengusandlex mine too

  • @bengusandlex Same here. I just wish we had a more full 'live' version from the 1960's of her singing it. And I know others performed and recorded this tune, but Dusty just had the definitive version with her wonderful breathy but beautiful voice. I heard one time back in the 1980's, on oldies stations, that some male dj's who played this tune got turned-on sexually by this record just because of her voice.

  • While the idiot children are going on about Claire and who knows what else (their lives have been lived in terms of ten-best lists), thanks for the clip. Dusty was immortal from the first note she ever sang.

  • The most sensual song I've ever heard.

  • Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.

  • awesome voice!!

  • It's Joanna Kerns from Growing Pains!!!

  • Claire Phoenix does this and live too!

If we can get enough interest in this remarkable singer we will have made the world a better place. Please help.

  • @keyedit put your pom-poms away idiot, the world has never been made better because of any of your opinions!

  • @magovenor thanks for your reply. As long as I'm entitled to my own opinions I'm happy. Dusty was definitely one of the best. I just happen to believe that Claire is too. There are great (and undiscovered) singers alive and performing now as well as the greats who have sadly passed on. Let's embrace them all - if they can actually do it!

  • @keyedit it sounded more like promotion than an opinion that's why I made such a firm response. If you had presented it as an opinion I would have read it and passed over it.

  • @magovenor I will admit that I am trying to make the world aware of Claire's talent. I am also regretting posting it to one of Dusty's pages. But I really do believe Claire has a genuine talent. If you know anything about how hard it is to get heard, even if you have a genuine talent, you may begin to understand why I posted here. I would value your opinion of Claire's voice but understand if you are reluctant to even listen to her given my approach. Peace.

  • @keyedit Peace! I lived in Los Angeles for over 16 years and knew soo many talented people that tried to get into the movies, television, music. And heard so many horror stories along the way. As for Dusty Springfield, I recall her many television appearences as a kid growing up in the '60's. Growing up in an African-American community it was not accepted at that time to openly voice a like for any white singer, or John Wayne, lol. So to you I say peace!

  • @magovenor Well the world has moved on thankfully and you are free to state that you like Dusty Springfield with no reproach, and to the whole world too! :) Claire doesn't want to 'get into' the entertainment business per se but in my opinion she needs to be listened to and recognised as a genuinely talented singer. We were lucky enough to express it at the time - one of my first heroes was a poor black kid named Pele. I remember his mates too, Tostao, Rivelino, Jahrzino, Felix, Carlos...

  • @keyedit I believe that we've said enough about this matter! Peace!

  • Have a massive Dusty attack.

  • Now that's sultry

  • I have only realised just now how similar Dusty's coy looks resemble those of Princess Diana.

  • @argaretbea me too

  • IMO...She was the rarest of artists. She just had that unique way with a song . There have only been a few others like her. Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, all come to mind (for me anyway). Not that they are similar in style or anything like that, but they all had that intangible " thing" especially when performing live . When you look at, and listen to the body of her work, you know she belongs in the company of the great ones.... Just my opinion.

  • What a beautiful woman with tremendous talent..wish that I knew you because you made my heart melt..RIP Dusty you are missed

  • Great song......................

  • It's official. I'm getting me a cougar!

  • the onlyone that can sing this song.

I've listened some version, she is the best!

  • just the best ..

  • She licked.

  • She has been called by many the finest female singer of her generation (in the English-speaking world). Writing by Bacharach and David helps, too.

  • She is just beautiful *long sigh*

  • This is what sex sounds like. If it had a voice

  • the bes of USA ever no one will reaplce her they only born ones Nicaragua

  • @alfarooldemar2 Dusty Springfield (Mary O'Brien) was of Irish background and lived most of her life in England. She loved American pop music of her era and was credited with popularizing it in the UK.

  • Your so right she was the best, i loved this song so much when it was out and i was serving in vietnam at the time.

  • Grrrrrrrr. What a loss...............

  • If you liked this. U might want to checkout The Petshop Boys-What Have I done lately with Dusty Springfield. I'm sorry she passed in 1999.

  • Oh...My...God

  • Great post!!!BellaƸ̵̡Ӝ̵Ʒ

  • my god she was class - fantastic :)) great post :)) ktf

  • @TooDarnSoulful

She was so congenially and gifted. The perfect entertainer.

    BellaƸ̵̡Ӝ̵Ʒ

  • nice song..........................

  • wow this is so hot!!!!!!!! woohoo

  • What a Voice!

  • face and voice that could make boy george wear carhart clothing and beat up gays.

  • Dusty...WOW!!! Fantastic voice,and she was GORGEOUS ;)

  • #7 female singer in Rolling Stones poll of the great singer of all time.

  • love-in

  • thanks Mister Burt Bacharach to have composed this master piece and thanks Dusty to have sang this song with such sensuality

  • THAT WOMEN COULD SING.

  • Pure honey and smooth as silk, yet passionate and powerful. Lord! We were all so blessed by God in Dusty. He sure knew what he was doing. Thank you.

  • My god the studio version of this song melts me in the first bar. But this is a great performance

  • how can anyone not like this

  • She is the most perfect female singer ever - this is her best song and the sexiest cover of it ever recorded to date. Love Dusty.

  • Dusty is love.

  • A lot of people sing this song, but they just borrow it from Dusty. The original is still the greatest.

  • One of the great pop voices of the 20th century. among my top five along with Karen Carpenter, Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector and Mama Cass Elliot. Karen, Dusty and Mama...RIP. The rest of you...keep on belting them out!

  • She brought new meaning to the genre "adult" contemporary. Yes I do die of joy every time I hear that stunning voice of hers, but on this song, I'll just die with a shitty grin .....thank you Dusty baby....

  • What a VOICE!! Have a great journey Dusty, wherever you are.

  • It's such a joy to hear that her voice is every bit as strong as on the records - nothing to do with production at all.

  • Forever ..THIS will be the absolutely sexiest song ever recorded! Even as a young "rocker" this was THE song!

  • Incredible posting of a stunning lady and one of the best singers I have heard. I had the pleasure of meeting Dusty in Jax. Fl while working as a DJ at WAPE 690 during a promotional tour she was on. She is a classy lady! Thanks again for posting!

  • Its almost impossible to do a bad version of this classic Burt Bacharach tune!

  • Que canção! Arrepia até a alma!!!!

  • Great song great voice!

  • This song is magic!

  • So happy these recordings are being posted. Dusty was so overlooked in her day.

  • Too short...she was amazing !

  • what is she doing she's killing a classic let issac hayes sing it

  • shes signing cause its her song - she sang it first in the film Casino Royal

  • @josette5 Dusty was the first to record this song in '67 - she owns it. Great as Isaac Hayes is, his '71 cover is quite bombastic and overproduced imo. This is the way to sing a classic.

  • @Nicklas4500 i beg to differ issac's sounds better

  • @josette5 HUH???? look, people can cover this song all they want- and do great covers (like Isaac Hayes, who always did great covers like "Walk on By"), but this is DUSTY'S song.

HER version is the original, HER version won the Oscar.

  • @josette5 Not sure where your heads at, but Burt DID write this in particular for Dusty, as he did for certain Singers he adored.

I happen to Love Hayes also, but really you havta get your facts correct, this is one of Dustys signature songs, and she was quite proud of doing it! Those who come after her to sing it were welcomed to, but NO NEVER could anyone touch it really!

  • awesome

  • É a Gina do Palito!!!

  • Cool outfit and nice hair

  • its got that austin powers mojo

  • GAWD the 60's was truly a dreamy sort of Dazed era

  • By far the best singer in the world. Dusty you will always be in my heart

  • l love this mulcs.

  • Her voice sounds fantastic on this performance. I just wish she'd sang the whole of the song...
