I know this video is old, but i have a ventus that i have had for easily 4 months, and who knows how old it was when i purchased it, it was approx 1.2-1.5 inches in length. Here we are months later and the fish has hardly grown. Are these slow growers? i know they can see 10'' in length, but ive been told 6-7'' is more common in an aquarium. How long until my ventus gets the nice gold coloring and blue jaw? and how long until its mature enough to reproduce? thanks ahead of time!

@34SkiLLz14Luck, I would guess that your venustus would probably get to 6 or 7" at the most unless you have a 75 gallon or bigger tank and feed it well. If it's female, it won't get the blue jaw either.

@HCLRockyMountainHigh im actually running a 125 Gallon right now. My ventus hasn't shown any blue jaw coloring yet. the rear fin and the bottom has a nice noticeable yellow coloring tho.

woow. thats a lot of babies. i am trying to get female venustus. i have a male and walmart near me only has one male. the pet stores dont sell venustus. but anyways great video
