wow, really great sound... My brother just bought an 2001 VR6.. Im not huge into cars but they really hold my interest and I know a thing or two about them and his jetta really blew my mind on how fast it was.. I have no idea if it even has aftermarket piping but its got a magnaflow muffler at least and it sounds great.

Ricer? This is a VR6... one of the greatest sounding German engines of all time. Listen to the deep growl at like 3-4k rpm. You don't get that on an inline 4. This engine combines the smoothness of an I6 with the sound and power of a V6. And that magnaflow does a great job of letting all the good noises out. nice car

yea my water pump went, then seals, then gaskets, then timing chain was done. then later too low, so went through 2 oil pans.. now my 2.0 Jetta has a broken bracket for the Air pump which eventually cracked the air pump Hose. (50.00) later. I spent about 800 on some simple repairs i guess. but after the 300 for the oil pan.. im kinda burnt. I love the car, although it doesnt make much power (2.0). I do recommend the VR6. But i dont think i can afford Dubs any longer. So its up for grabs,

body work is a whole nother story..had a r32 front bumper basically a getta..had reiger rrx sideskirts and rear valence..zender trunk wing and I believe ottenger(sp?) Roof wing..for suspension I had just an hr cup kit and front upper and lower stress bars..for wheels I had axis supermesh 18x8 which I mentioned previously..that's about it with the car

I had the motor rebuilt and bored out to larger forged 2.9 pistons..had a k and n intake...custon 2.5 inch pipin from the catback to a magnaflow muffler..and a autothority chip..that's about it that was done to the car motor wise..

I had 18x8 Axis Supermesh rims on Kumho Ecstas ASX. I believe it was 225/40/18. I had a reiger rr-x lip kit in the back, reiger rr-x sideskirts, and a gti/golf front end swap with .:R32 front bumper in the front.

you realize the 5.0 is a pile of shit.... the VR 6 motor is a genius design. 15* V6. With proper tuning and supporting modification, a GTI or VR jetta will walk on 5.0's....
