Carol Burnett was my alto heroine. She could belt out in a chest voice, and never seem to go flat, and if she did, that wonderful, silly putty face of hers covered it up. I would have loved to see these two perform. Both women raised in the tradition of vaudeville. If you haven't read Mrs. Andrew's latest book, "Home", I highly recommend you do so.

I was 9 years old when this aired and was not allowed to watch because my bedtime was 8 pm. I could hear my parents plus a couple aunts in the front room raving about this special as they wacthed, laughed and applauded.
