Ive had Pits all my life and was only bitten once by mistake while trying to pry his mouth open with my bare hands and take a cat out of his mouth. He broke my finger instantly but let me go as soon as he heard me yell. He is 9 years old to this day, loves my 5 year old son to death and is getting to know my 3 month old son now. He watches over them like they were his. These dogs are the most loyal loving courageous dogs and they will protect their family & die for them in the blink of an eye

Pits are whatever the owner MAKES them... I hate when people say "theyll turn on you, dont trust them, or theyll bite your kids etc etc that's straight BS. a REAL American pit bull terrier is not human aggressive at all only animal aggressive because they were bred to fight, its in their blood but that can be trained out of them VERY easily. Back when they first bred these dogs to fight in pits they were put down if they bit their opponents owner or any human period.
