Great video. I like your place. Great crop of corn & beans. I have beans too. How do you know when the beans are ready? My package says ready to harvest in 50 days for my tender bush beans. It's been 50 days, but I heard you say some are ready and some are not. How do you really tell? Love the dog & chickens!
@chicagocindybuddie Thanks for your kind words! I'm not sure if this is the right way or not, but this is how I check my beans. I look at my plant and find the largest bean that is on there and compare that to the others. I also look at how thick the beans are and if they are a decent size around, then I believe they are ready. Another test that I do is I'll take a bean and break it open, if it snaps easily then its good to go and if its bendable not so much. Thanks for watching!
You did better then me. My green bean plants didn't make it or the califlower; however, everything else is doing well. Your poor dog looks like he is going to pass out from all the heat we have been having.
@kellyayn2012 LOL - well my lettuce didn't come in at all and I have no idea why. Meh, there's always next season. JJ is a strange dog... For some reason he loves the warm weather - there's an air conditioned room in the barn and he REFUSES to go in there... He's strange, but still my "helper" and hound dog.
@brinkofchange Yeah that's my little "helper". Seems whenever I try to get something done, he wants to "help". If he's not helping, hes getting between myself and what I need to do and tells me to take a break. My type of supervisor! Thanks for the comment
