i was wondering if you could upload a video on downstacking and ponit stacking, i just resived my used casinno dice in the mail yesterday and i can stck them fine i just want to know how to go about downstacking and ponit stacking (:
I can do it but only on ground not in the air + I start with a stack then just do the movement of the cup only because I can't catch the dice in the cup yet any tips?
@crabline1 Please retype your comment with punctuation. Use complete, separate sentences, and perhaps then I will be able to understand and answer you. I'm not being snooty, I just don't know what you're asking.
basically I can put the dice on top of eachother then put the cup over them then use the correct motion to slide the cup along my table I can then take the cup off and they're still stacked... I cannot however move the cup in the air and do it I also cannot get the dice into my cup without dropping or placing them...
can you help
also do you know if their is an english website to purchase casino dice from?
@crabline1 That was much more understandable. The motion is shown in the video, and when you're just beginning, it's best to learn the motion with only one die inside the cup. Add more dice when you've perfected the swing. It will take a lot of practice and it will be frustrating. You will probably be bad at it for longer than you want to, but be persistant, and you'll get it.
Unfortunately, I don't know any English websites.
I highly recommend Strunk & White's Elements of Style.
@Emoboysasuke3322 I believe I said this in the video, but I haven't watched it for a while, so I'm not sure: The flatter the dice and the sharper the edges, the better they are for stacking.
@Inceptionz Yes, it is, sort of. It is related to the amount of force needed to move a stationary object, slow down a moving object, speed up a moving object, or change a moving object's direction. Inertia is really a resistance to a change in state of motion. Objects resist acceleration, deceleration, and turning, and that is inertia. To accelerate, the force exerted must counteract that inertia. There is no set amount of force required to move any object until friction is accounted for.
@lethaihien12345 I spent several minutes in the video on this subject. You can stack normal dice, but they're very difficult, and their capabilities are extremely limited.
@guilpota I read your comment on the other video. Normal white gaming dice will work with a lot of practice (it is extremely difficult to learn, especially with normal dice), but 19mm razor-edge craps dice like the ones used in casinos stack exceedingly well, because they are big and have a lot of inertia, and don't tend to roll around in the cup. I've linked to the cheapest casino dice on the internet in the video description.
@guilpota It says right in the item description whether they are recommended for dice stacking. In that case, no. They'll work, but they're not as good.
@nathantnnguyen I know. I have searched the internet far and wide and have as yet not found a better deal. If you find one, let me know, and I'll post it.
@towtoxgta It's not about going fast, it's about tilting the cup right. As I said in the tutorial, you can really go quite slowly, as long as you tilt the cup right. Also I have no idea what the devo bundle is.
@Rboysblaster The upward force is the side of the cup, redirecting the die's inertia from a sideways motion to an upward direction. There is no speed that generates an upward force. If you don't tilt the cup, you can swing it as fast as you want, the dice will fall out.
@MrAshdabash Good luck with that! Craps tables are very crowded, the dice are watched very carefully by the dealers to prevent loaded dice being switched in, and the eye in the sky records everything.
thank you so much, its ppl like u that make the world a better place. the ppl who post bad comments unfortunately cancel it out, but anyway, I think you did a very good job explaining and I am getting much better :)

@maribakumon Did you even watch the video? I spent the vast majority of it explaining the movements involved. There's nothing more to it but practice. There's no secret, it's not a magic trick or illusion. You'll find nothing more in any other tutorials.
I'm sorry but what you described was newtons first law of motion not inertia, and the dice stay in the cup by centripetal acceleration. know your terms before you use the next time please.
@7thperiodhackcircle Newton's first law is the law of inertia. They are the same. And the dice stay in the cup because the inertia of the dice counteracts the centripetal acceleration of the cup. Also, even that is iffy, because centripetal acceleration is acceleration around a fixed point that causes circular motion. The cup's motion is not quite circular. Know your terms especially well before you correct someone next time, please.
@sportstackingwiz1 I'm afraid the only advice I can give is to keep practicing. Maybe try slightly larger targets first. I started with a rubik's cube.
Hey wat is the standard size of casino dice??cuz on the website i think it said like 200 19mm for 5.00 plz reply doi can know plz send me a link of which ones bought thnks
@RedMonkey126 Yes, those are the same size, but they are not razor-edged. The straight corners make dice stacking much easier, because they prevent rolling. The ones I link to are real used casino dice, right size, right shape. I recommend them because they are the best equipment at the best price I could possibly find. If by chance you do come across a better deal online, let me know so I can update the link.
@pistolfate centrifugal force IS inertia. When you apply the laws of inertia on a rotating system, you see a centrifugal force come into play. It's merely the way inertia reacts to a spin. In the case of dice stacking, it's not really a rotating system, as the arc is quite irregular, and doesn't quite fit the criteria. It could be called centrifugal force, but what it can DEFINITELY be called is inertia. My dad's a physics professor. I've been learning this stuff all my life.
@JorickHorn Minor correction, more in the wording than anything, centrifugal force is applied inertia, not just inertia. You'll confuse some folks saying that they're one in the same.

@PreZZDee Please only ask a question if it is not addressed in the video. I clearly say what to look for in a cup and that I found mine in the cupboard. I cannot trace them to the manufacturer, so I don't know the answer.

I have a question, but before you get me wrong, I don't mean to correct you I just wonder if you could explain why I am wrong:
I thought that if your dices have a particular speed which goes upward, this speed is high enough to withstand the dices being pulled down by gravity
in other words the upward force is higher than the downward force of the dice, meaning it pushes against the cup instead of falling down
but I can't link that to inertia, so what did I miss?
Rboysblaster 1 year ago
@Rboysblaster The upward force is the side of the cup, redirecting the die's inertia from a sideways motion to an upward direction. There is no speed that generates an upward force. If you don't tilt the cup, you can swing it as fast as you want, the dice will fall out.

Where do you get your cups?
PreZZDee 1 year ago
@PreZZDee Please only ask a question if it is not addressed in the video. I clearly say what to look for in a cup and that I found mine in the cupboard. I cannot trace them to the manufacturer, so I don't know the answer.
