i have already tried the blush tip and it works so awesomely....and i feel much better looking than even cream blush....and this tip is like superb.....and for the people asking if it will harm u....anything that u can put on ur eyes which is much more delicate....will surely be safe for ur lips....:)

o come on people u would put something on ur eye & not ur lip? it all gets absorbed by ur body! + ur eye area is much more delicate then ur lip area

@elinyoshey No, it doesn't get absorbed by the body. It all depends on the size of the particles. That's why nanoparticles are avoided by most, because those particles are so small they Can be absorbed. Eyeshadow is made of big particles that doesn't absorb. You actually eat your lipgloss/stick/etc so therefore it has to be made of safe ingredients. You don't eat your eyeshadow, so therefore it doesn't have to be made of ingredients that are safe for ingestion.

@Hightopsdynomite375 Actually you don't! I don't know what kind of makeup you use, I use mineral makeup. Real mineral makeup eyeshadow have very few ingredients and therefore it's much easier to detect harmful ingredients. Less ingredients = smaller risk of harmful ingredients. Find a mineral makeup company and ask which ingredients they use in their eyeshadows that are not lip safe. And then you can use the eyeshadows that do not contain these ingredients! :)

i've always done this with the cranberry color in elf's luxe quad and LOVE the results. a perfect berry matte lip at such an inexpensive price. and i can also lightly use it as a blush and/or eye shadow color if i want to coordinate things.

As a makeup artist myself, I don't know too many girls who own matte shadows, let alone ones that will be appropriate for wearing on the lips Its a legitimate tip but not something a lot of people can execute. . I would have suggested the tissue/powder trick for matte lips.

@jdovu You are wrong. For example you can't use ultramarines, ferric ferrocyanide and chromium oxide green on your lips. Which often is present in eyeshadows that has blues, greens and purples in them. There are many more ingredients that are not lip safe.

Making it simple: eye safe means that it wont cut you eyeballs, lip safe means it won't poison you.

@kjbennett You are right! But the name "ultramarines" are used for ingredients that are not real ultramarines, and it's those that can be harmful. It's like the word "fragrance", you can call many things fragrance in a formula and not have to state What it really is. Were you aware that Fluor (used in almost every toothpaste) is deadly and highly toxic? Deadly dose for a 70kg human is 5-10grams and it's toxic both by inhalation and ingestion. A child dies of a much smaller dose.

AND - there are many widely used cosmetic ingredients that shift from non-toxic to toxic at higher concentrations. How many people have Botox (a poison at higher concentrations) injected into their skin? Is the purpose of your posts to protect people's safety because my "tip' is dangerous? Please clarify.

@kjbennett Botox is the most toxic substance known to man. 90 nanograms is enough to Kill an adult. That's 0.00000009 gram and not a higher concentration. Most people know it's dangerous. If people then injects it into their skin, it's their choice. My purpose is to give people the Chance to make a choice, because many are not aware of the possible harm. Ever heard anyone say: "If I had known it could be harmful I would never have done it". It's nice to be able to choose for yourself.

It's being able to choose what you want to use on your body. Can you take the responsibility that every eyeshadow owned by all the men and women in the world are completely safe to ingest? There are over 6 billion people in the world and almost everyone that owns eyeshadow owns more than one.

I've used lip safe eyeshadows on my lips for years, matte and others on top off lip balm or in lipgloss. The video would have been perfect if you had just added something like: "Remember to use lip safe eyeshadows on your lips". There is nothing wrong with wanting to use products that are suited for the purpose you are using them for and I can't understand why you can't agree.

Botox is one of the trade names for Botulinum Toxin Type A. Botulinum Toxin is not even close to "botchulism". Maybe you should take your own advice about researching your information before making statements. I'll leave it at that since you don't want to talk about the actual subject: using lip safe eyeshadows on your lips.
