It's more like we take whatever is left of what's cool in the world, where we proceed to slap a brand on it, dramatize it, and create stats so that people can say "look how cool I am, I broke a record". It's so superficial and anti-artistic. I would like to see how people use the art to guide their lives.

Come on, I'm 16 with 6 years of Karate experience, the only swordfighting I've been in is bokken fights with my brother, and I'm like twice as good as this guy
@ylism Buying a usable katana is relatively easy, although it'll be rather expensive. Just go to a martial arts shop where they sell iaido equipement, you should find a variety of different swords (from wooden swords to cutting swords and dull training swords). The difficult part is buying a good quality one. There are many factors that come into play. But be careful, they're no toys and it's best to leave them alone if you're not VERY well trained.
@walatalalaw Thank's for the info, and yes I know there not toys. Good to always remember that fact. I am a bit rusty, But I hold belts in both Yoshukai Karate and Jiu Jitsu. A good quality Sword is what I am looking for. Thank's again, yl
Are you kidding me a master that was the worst way to cut with a katana you could of cut at the least 20-30 more mats with the proper techniques I don't know where he learned budo and to be honest I don't want to know and who ever his master was was either not a master or had faked his credentials
I saw an extended version of this video and Master Sanders seemed to cut faster than the mats could be replaced. In my opinion, he could have cut even more.
