Even if the pipe dream of Ron Paul as President happened...HE WOULD STILL HAVE TO GET THROUGH THE GRIDLOCK OF CONGRESS! You just don't get it. Common sense means nothing if it isn't a COMMON thing. The problems with American government reach MUCH further than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And some of you don't even know whose address that is! Everyone loves to blame Obama...but WTF can he do when nearly 50% of Congress is bound and determined to stop ANYTHING he does, whether its effective or not?

Im so sick of ppl blaming Obama for everything...Im not a staunch radical Obama supporter, but Im wise enough to know that if Republicans vowed from day 1 to "Lets do everything in our power to make Obama a 1 term prez",that nothing can really get done. What the conservative & republican voters dont realize is that its "their party" thats actually destroying America by refusing to work w/ the Prez. Obama could find the cure for aids & somehow be demonized by them. Sad day

@BossyBadger I have no doubt that he can beat Obama. Getting passed the mainstream Republican checkpoint appears to be the biggest hurdle. The establishment seems hell bent on nominating anyone other than Ron Paul. Did you see that "unbiased" focus group on Fox news after the debate? Sean Hannity should be ashamed to call that fair and balanced reporting! Ron Paul supporters have alot of work to do in waking up the ignorant masses and blow right through that Republican checkpoint!

@Altasshrug I agree. You can already see they will be fronting Herman Cain - an ex Federal Reserve Chairman of Kansas City who believes that Fed should not be audited. He also espouses neocon philosophy that is slightly tinted to make him look grassroots. I wish I could help much more than online agitation for Ron Paul, but I am from UK. Have you seen the video where Hannity has to explain why Paul is absent in his studio after debate: just look at his face when he says Tea Party rally.

@Altasshrug If Ron Paul gets elected, I will seriously think about moving to US (legally of course ;)) In UK Im taxed like hell: 40% income tax, 9% National Insurance, VAT 20%, Property tax 200 pounds per month, congestion charges, Car emmisions tax. The inflation is rampant: 1.6 pounds per litre of fuel, the official figures are 5% but in reallity it is more like 9-12%. And I am middle class - it is not like I am super rich. The solution to the problems is simple: LIBERTY. RON PAUL 2012

@KoRnyGirlx Damn Right! The recession has been and still is horrible but you actually know what caused it unlike those thieving politicians and mindless masses. But I think the key is to keep on trying and stay positive. When I was looking for my first job ever, I could not find for months and I was seriously frustrated but then I just said to hell with it and decided to create a job for myself and became self-employed. I know it is not as easy as it sounds but it's worth tryin.
