I'm fine with them fighting, because yeah that happened. But I don't believe for a minute that Snape would stand so close to students while in the middle of a duel, and I don't believe McGonagall would have thrown a freaking table at him if there was a possibility of the students behind him being injured. But hey, it's a game, no point in getting worked up about the characterisation. =P
Actually, I wish this was how the scene in the film was done. It seems a bit more faithful to the book version. The movie kind of changed the scene from the book around a little bit--and I definitely wanted to see them duel more. Antjackson is correct. Snape is not playing at all--he knows full well Minerva is not a joke. He has to leave--at the least to live to continue the "plan." Minerva would have killed him. In the book she tells him, "Next time we duel to the death!" I loved it.
@SplashLurky10 No. I mean, if there's HUGE things that are COMPLETELY different and there's no reason why, I'm unhappy. They have to change many things, I realize, for dramatic effect.
@poster108 Yes, yes, like Bellatrix and Molly's fight. In the book, it's a little longer, but in the movie it's too short and a bit dramatic. I was expecting for a long duel...
@Ikkin93107 Yeah, I wish there was a "free-play" mode in which the characters of your own choice can duel each other. That'd be fun :D The game has too few extras. There should've been an achievement system as well as spell power-up unlockables of some sort.
Maybe some of you didn't really read the book. In the book Snape DOES fight her back. He doesn't just deflect her spells! They duel (Snape does leaves, because he sees that if they continue one will have to die-- which one can not be predicted). Minerva McGonagall is no mediocre witch. Simply deflecting her spells would not save you from her wrath. Even an advanced wizard like Snape respected her power. You don't get to be the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts without being able to handle yourself
@antjackson305 Perhaps Severus knows that the Dark Lord needs him alive (for now), or maybe his Dark Mark told him to rejoin with Voldemort's army and be ready to charge Hogwarts.
@TheAgentejuan Severus is definately one of the most if the most brave Harry potter characters,no doupt about it but so is Minerva McGonagal! She did not knew Snape was good and she faced him as the murderer of her best friend! She also was the leader of the deffence against Voldemort and even dueled with him at the end!She is very brave and powerful, especially for a person of her age!
The way the game shows it is such a lie. Snape wasn't on Voldemorts side at this time so why would he try and support Voldemort when Minerva was the only one around?
@AaronIsAFreak1 Snape pretended until the very end, you should look at him more and see how brave and determined he was. His plan would fail if he told McGonagall and all he students he was deceiving Voldemort. That's how he is. Unfortunately Minerva didn't know a thing about the events between him and Dumbledore so she turned to attack him, we can't blame her either... oh well. But I really love Minerva's bravery in this part. ~♥
@ElAquadora Yeah, that's true. Just the whole situation between Mcgonogall and Snape was different in this, because in the book and movie snape doesn't really fight back or say anything to Mcgonogall, instead, he just deflects her spells and flies away.
@AaronIsAFreak1 Snape pretended to be on Voldemort's side until the moment he died. It was only through his memories that Harry and the others found out that he was after all the bravest of them all!
@lattendor i like the book more since it had much more drama, action, and it had scenes that should have been in the movie like the elves, centories, ghosts, helping howarts, and the use of posions and dangerous plants to protect hogwarts, plus it has so many more better scenes like when molly weasly aka mrs.weasly killed bellatrix in front of voldermort and he got pissed off and tried to kill her but harry saved her before he could kill her.
"You are a coward Severus. You always were." (while not true) it sounds epic.

the gameplay is cool but the voice acting is mediocre at most

In the movie he's scared to fight her but in the game he's ok with it

Snape deflected her spells because he respected Minerva, whom was his teacher, (former) ally and a workmate.

I like how they didn't put the Snape shaped hole in the film, the comedic effect is too hard to adjust after the badassness of McGonagall.

Be reasonable, Minerva!

Of course I LIKE the movie's version of Severus not fighting Minerva back. It just almost seemed to suit him more. He was never out to fight.

Mcg: I think enough is enough, don't you, "Headmaster"?
Snp: ENOUGH!
(and then, you get the Snape-shaped hole xD)
BTW, I took 14 pictures from your nice game, I really love all the verbal taunting (particularly the Carrows mention) between the professors, haha...
