Comparing AOE 2 with AOE 3 is like comparing one of the best games ever with a great game. AOE 3 is badly seen sometimes because its predecessor is so big.

Age of Empires, Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome Expansion, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion are better than Age of Empires III, The War Chiefs, and The Asian Dynasties.

I personally think they should perfect AOE II, instead of moving through time and coming closer to modern times. f.ex graphically, maybe the interface, moves, formations etc. But keep the format. THIS IS A GREAT GAME!

@Clermn i think that makes us 2, my parents had to take all the computer away from me so i couldnt play anymore as i spent days playing, even though i dindnt understand what i was actaully doing (i was very small) i just loved making my own village. There is something magical about this game i cant describe, but listening to this music makes me want to play again!

I remember when I was ten...and it's still one of the best games of all time. I love it...this music is so epic, great, just perfect, it makes me feel like I'm part of the game. I'll never forget the thousands of matches...and I think I'll play a round in a few moments:-) Best one of the trilogy!!!

The last time I played this game must have been more than 6 years ago and when I hear this music it feels familiar, but not entirely like I've heard it before. The feeling reminds me of having a word right on the tip of your tongue. Although I HAVE heard these tracks before, it's like they're just parts of my memory that have been tossed in a recycle bin somewhere in my brain.
