John Carroll now advertises itself much more as a "Jesuit" university, stressing "Jesuit" in its alumni magazine and other promotions over quality of education. It's gotten rather stifling. They used to have a large non-Catholic percentage of students. Are they losing ground and someone told them to hype the Jesuit aspect as a last resort if you can't compete on academics? The last alumni magazine was lots of Jesuit this and Jesuit that, IMHO. Capital, Thiel and Denison mags lay off God.
