I think there's some sweeping preconceptions going on here. I'm not bothered about intellectualising music. I just want a DJ who can bring something to the airwaves that I enjoy and sometimes surprises me. I don't want to hear long bouts of diatribe from a presenter, regardless of if he or she is talking about music or "what biscuit you would like to rub in your face". If George loves rave music surely he should be on Radio 1 where I'm certain his unchallenging humour would be well received.
