  • All the 'top tier' Democrats have let me down. Dennis Kucinich deserved the right to speak.

Without Dennis there was no real debate.

  • They didn't even make an excuse for banning ron paul from the debate. This is corrupt unfair media censorship. And the media says if you think that you are insane.

  • Did you notice that the Ron Paul office was not telling them to shut off the camera nor telling them to leave? That is because Ron Paul welcomes transparency and truthful debate and inquiry.

  • its Ralph Nader in 2000 all over again. Media refuses to cover the person who politicaly represents Americas people, focus attention on the man who will serve your special intrests and spin the canadiate as one who only serves best your own self-intrest. meanwhile, screwing the voters who belived the lies you spun. politics as usual in America.. i for one am insulted they belive were so goddamn stupid we as a Nation cant judge truth from blatant fiction?

  • The real reason the media wouldn't let Dennis talk is when he wins he's really bad for their advertising money--mostly cars, oil related, pharmecueticals and so on. This will be discussed in full on Dennis' site, as I can't do it in 200 words or whatever we get here.

  • Our nation is being taken from us. There is a plan afoot to rig the elections via control of the media. Don't vote for the mainstream candidates, they are part of and owned by the power brokers. They're taking our country away from us, and we MUST take it back! I swear allegance to the USA of our Constitution - the document that gives us the right to defend it! I once took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign AND domestic - and I still stand by that oath! Join us!

  • If you turn eighteen after your state's primary/caucus but before the general election you can still register to vote for Dennis in the primaries/caucuses.

  • The volume is all over the map on this video. You guys have billions of dollars, why can't you purchase a DBX multi band compresser for 2,000.00 ??? Thats pocket change for you!!!

  • Billions of dollars? Are you kidding?

Kucinich is grass roots, pal. Hillary is the one with all the military industrial strength campaign funding. Maybe you could encourage on of her thousands of media staff to pony up the two grand and suggest the best model microphone, too. Davis could use it.

Davis, keep up the great work! DK'08

  • Or better yet, maybe we push for a system that doesn't allow corporate donations to a campaign--any, including Kucinich (not like he takes their money)--AT ALL, and everyone donates to ONE FUND that is divided EQUALLY amongst all candidates. Oops, did I say something Democratic?

  • good one!

  • She's right. The Iowa Dem party had nothing to do with the debate, because it was all orchestrated by corporate media fat cats for their subservient corporate candidates. Dennis isn't one of them, so he was excluded. They don't like candidates who actually want to serve the people and not the corporate cause.

  • this is no political mystery. They are not asking us who we are voting for, they are telling us. the present political system is in need of a major overhaul.

    Dennis Kucinich in 2008!

  • "We had NOTHING to do with the debate?" WTF?!!! *****

  • I saw this on Fleetwood's channel. This is an excellent piece. I hope he keeps up the good work.

  • Yes, talk about having an active hobby, lol! What an inspiration, what a guy. We agree.

  • I can't stand the thought of a CFR member dragging us into WW3.

  • The TV keeps paying attention to the front runner candidates as though the only hope is the next election, with no responsibility to IMPEACH the criminals in power first! Its sick when no one can impeach a President.

  • and they desperately want us to believe that those CFR beeotches are our only choice.

  • Yeah, even if it takes 1 vote away from the main Demo, im voting Kucinich because I dont want to say i voted for the others if they start doing Bush shit. -Drogo

  • A vote for liberty is never a wasted vote.

  • Please please please get Davis a soundman or try checking normalize audio in your editing program.

  • I support Ron Paul, but like many others have stated, It's wrong to exclude Kucinich and Gravel. They are the only people on the left that actually give a damn about the Constitution(Except for Federal Social Programs). This is just more proof that Ron Paul is the only Constitutionalist with a chance in hell of getting elected... Let's face it, the Ron Paul movement is the only one that's going anywhere...

  • IF voting could change things - they'd make it illegal.

Stop giving a corrupt government money! This April send your tax form back blank save for a red (signifying blood) hand-print on it. IF they aren't doing what we want - why then should be pay them? They don't listen to our voices - maybe they'll listen when we hold back what they really care about.

  • 'giving'? Do you think people would 'give' of their own free will? Especially when there is no certainty as to where their 'givings' are going? Whatever's being 'given' is being taken.

  • Go Davis!!!!!! a great piece of true journalism. shake up the country club. peace.

  • hey! I met Marcos at the School of Assassins protest down in Columbus, GA.

Thank you Davis for this documentary showing just how these debates are established. its dissapointing to see that not even the people who are supposed to be "running the show" dont even do that.

The powers that be want to shut Dennis out from Iowa.

New Hampshire is our only hope.

  • Our country is divided and divisive, mired in fear and hatred about issues amplified by the corporate whores in the mainstream media. I remain hopeful that We The People will wake up to this national malaise, this calamity of spirit, in time to do something meaningful. However, I fear that most of us will cling to denial and externalization of responsibility long past the point of no return.

  • blablabla.... Seriously, speaking the obvious and doing what is needed are universes apart!

  • You have NO idea what I--as an activist for the past 30 years!--have been doing, nor what I'm STILL doing. Furthermore, you couldn't be MORE wrong about speaking the obvious--when it is a part and parcel of consistent activism. What, pray tell, are YOU doing?

  • You've been lulled into complete impotence with the idea that your freedom of speech makes any difference at all in a society where everything is now rigged from within. Where are your massive protests? Where are the hundreds of thousands of people who should be out with us screaming our lungs out at the system? Where is your effort to get them out there? To inspire them to step out of their comfort zones and make a difference? At least I am doing that much.

  • GREAT! Can't wait to see the massive protests you inspire!

  • At least i'm trying, all you're doing is blabbering the obvious on your fat ass.

  • And, to what do I owe this vitriol? You don't like it when someone states the obvious? Feeling a bit of guilt? Shame? Are you feeling inadequate, poor wee mannie? PLEASE, just keep busy with your massive protests, and stop wasting time being unpleasant.

  • Oh unpleasantness is the least of your concerns. Just wait till you have Rudy as your commander in chief. By that time I will be long gone to canada.

  • Search You Tube For "Austin Tea Party" Austin Police Report: "over 1000 in march".

Ron Paul People DO go into the street to FIGHT against the rigged system, We want American to join us. Fight for your lost freedoms.

    RundoeTX

  • 1000 people? That's all? Shame on you for not rallying 100,000 people!

  • sorry new police estimates are 2000 to 3000. Where is your 100,000 people?

    RundoeTX

  • Slight correction: AARP revenue of $628 million per year from Aetna deal.

  • Read Medical News Today . com April 19, 2007 article on AARP conflict-of-interest.

  • life sucks when you are not a globalist.

elections are a fun game corporations get to play every 4 years

theres a lot of money in political entertainment

  • We are globalists - for global peace and justice!

  • No, americans are secularists in globalist disguise! It isn't very globalist to go and indiscriminately cause the deaths of over 600,000 citizens of another country! And what is this 'we' shit? They do not represent me!

  • AARP was the main underwriter (sponsor) of the PBS broadcast of the DMR Debate! Someone must investigate and expose the motivation for excluding Dennis. If the DMR admits it was a mistake, they should broadcast an apology nationwide, and pay for a Kucinich campaign ad. We must stop this kind of pure crap from continuing! WE'RE MAD AS HELL AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

  • MICHAEL MOORE, SEAN PENN, ANYONE, HELP!!!

I was told by Randy Brubaker that it was the decision of the DMR "Editorial Board" to exclude Dennis. There are plenty of interests that would love to silence DK, but the more I think of it the more I am outraged at how the AARP has become corrupt with their "It's a start" campaign pushing Bush's prescrip- drug plan. Starting this January AARP will start selling managed care plans with a profit to AARP of $658 Million per year!!! more...

  • Go for the jugular, the jugular!!!

  • Lastly, you people are pathetic, rather.. apathetic. You just let the media give Kucinich the shaft and didn't do a damned thing. You people deserve the shit-for-shat candidates for letting Heroes like Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich be blackballed.

Nice work Davis, don't let'em sleep.

  • This is the regular runaround bullshit people get when a payoff is not involved.

why kind of debate is it if Kucinich and Gravel are not there to tell the truth.

The Democratic party should change it's name to the bureaucratic party.

  • Wow... this hurts.

  • the election process is corrupt from beginning to end.

  • Des Moines Register PO Box 957 Des Moines IA 50306-0957. Letters to the Editor: on the left of the @ symbol write "letters" and on the right, write "dmreg" followed by "dot com". Hope that works.

  • "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends" - Martin Luther King, Jr. The Dems should have supported all Democratic candidates, and the cowardly 6 should have had the courage to refuse to participate in the debate unless all candidates were included. Pathetic.

  • You are so wonderful.

  • Time to stop being surprised--past time. How many more times will they bend us over before we get mad enough to SAY enough!?!? If you think this nation will have an 'honest' election in 2008, I've got ocean front property for you in Montana.

  • Fuck! What we need to be doing is out protesting the shit out of these fuckers! Till they are royally annoyed enough to give us the fairness and balance we deserve! Nothing short of consistent protesting will help! But alas, we can't even do that since most of us probably have jobs which consume 98% of our awake time, just like they want it to!

  • Couldn't agree more.

  • You said it. It's the whole big picture. You're right.

  • It is very unfortunate the best democratic candidate is not going to run for election.

I think the candidates who are sell outs to special interest have a better chance of get to the top.

  • And your point? I mean if you're just going to speak the words of surrender why even speak at all?

  • Is someone calling all the people in the OTHER states BEFORE something like this happens again and asking them what their position will be BEFORE it happens so people can work against any future exclusions without waiting until the last minute or day?

  • Yea, that's what they said in 2004, when DEIBOLD fucked kerry out of his votes. That's what they said in 2000 when JEB and the supreme court fucked Gore out of his votes! The ONLY thing that will help is getting off our asses and protesting consistently to the point where we annoy the piss out of them enough to play a fair and balanced game!

  • In the video the videographer was told by the Des Moines Register Editor that it was the Register people at iowa public television who made the decision about Kucinich.

Did anyone call Iowa public television and try to find out who specifically those people were and what their rational was?

  • Good point. I think they need to talk to the Iowa Public Television people. Or we all need to write and call them.

  • Thank you for being a brave, honest citizen fighting to find the truth from corrupted officials/organizations. We need more people like you. This is such an embarrassment to what we stand for. Our forefather is probably weeping for us in Heaven.

  • Kucinich is the only candidate who speaks the TRUTH, and the other corporate puppet candidates are probably happy not to have to deal with him in the debates anymore. It's hard to trick the American people when you have one candidate speaking the truth and others touting obvious lies and corporate spin.

The phone # to contact the Des Moines Register is 515-284-8000. Call them and let them know what you think. This is bullshit, and I am sick of it.

  • Right on!

  • .

    CONSPIRACY THROUGH INACTION!

    .

  • Nice democracy you are running there you retarded sectarian psychos - it reminds me of the democratic monetary system you set up. Terrifying your own people and not giving a half-decent answer to justify your actions. Some folks in the US are right. Take responsibility. Fight for your freedom or die. If Kucinich or Ron Paul don't get elected americans are history with the current type of government.

  • I have tried to respond to suzbekistan twice. Youtube glitch or censorship?

  • I spoke by phone with Mr. Brubaker (DM Register Managing Editor)on Dec. 13 and expressed my disappoitment with the decision to exclude the distingushed Rep. Kucinich from debate. He first told me he had nothing to do with the decision but he kept defending it. He also told me that this was a debate for Iowans and that I should not be concerned since I am from California! I reminded him that this was a national broadcast for a national office. Continued...

  • ... Well I have tried to post a link here but am not allowed, so please go to the Des- Moines Register and look in Politics for the "Kucinch excluded..." and 2nd, "Kucinich Fans..." stories and read the comments, then call them! we need to keep this story open till it makes national headlines.

  • That's just ridiculous.

  • this is so frustrating. I have dealt with this kind of conspiratorial nonsense myself in another arena. You get sent round in round in circles. The final answer is just to take action and ignore the feebleness of everyone else. This whole thing helps show that Kucinich is actually in a very powerful position - if he only gets heard. Him being heard is what America is afraid of! Evertyone has to get blogging and spreading Kucinich's name.

  • Hey, can you post a link to the DM Register letters to the editor address so people can write and ask them for answers? I'm messaging it to you, because I can't figure out how to put it in comments.

  • okay...I'm confused

  • I agree! WTF is going on in Iowa? Can someone post the address for the Des Moines Register's letters to the editor?

  • good idea! this is pure bullshit

  • Democrats of Iowa suck ass

  • Kucinich is so far superior to the tweedledums and tweedledees that the corporate powers want that they cant stand him being there even tho they give him the least amount of time when he is. He still overpowers the other empty suits.

  • Kucinich makes the top corporate picked candidates look foolish. They do not want him there to address real issues honestly either.

  • Fascist America!

  • Dictatorship or not, the people will have what they want rgardless of any kind of shock treatment, fear, or tyranny.

This is not a threat, the people outnumber them billions to one, they will have what they want, enough said, a warning.

  • what the fuck... this shit has Hillary Clinton written all over it, first u hear them talking about rigging the debate, now Dennis is excluded from the debate....I sense a pattern here.

  • This seems to be less about election fraud than it is about getting "Ralph Nadered" by your own party. Can you blame the "top tier" candidates for not wanting to having their faces rubbed in the new NIE on Iran? Or having someone to point out the vast differences between universal healthcare, and universal healthcare COVERAGE?

  • Welcome to Amerika!!! what a bunch of fucktards. If anyone doesn't know by now that our "voting system" has gone to hell in a hand basket I don't know what further proof they need. Effin thing is a game and WE are the losers.

  • "my job is not to have an opinion" what a load of crap. I pray for the day where at least people have the balls to just come out and say, we didn't invite Dennis because he tells the truth. And our newspaper wont have anything to write about giving exposure to honesty

  • Pretty ridiculous...

This is good ol' democracy eh?

Just another case of the media attempting to manufacture consent.

  • Sounds like a huge Crock of Shit to me! Someone is Lying. This video only tells me that they are Afraid of Dennis, afraid that he may very well pull votes from other Candidates. Corruption 101 at it's finest!!!

  • Crap, this is f'd up. Thanks Davis for raising hell. I wish the Kucinich campaign had made a visible statement about Gravel's exclusion earlier in the debates.

  • The American "political process" is BIZARRE.

God help us in the world of her allies-who decided that anyway?I've never been asked.

  • It's not 'bizarre' it's completely rigged from start to finish. What I want to know is what checks and balances are being implemented to see to it that the voting process is fair and balanced? NONE AT ALL? How surprising.

  • my 2nd posting here. seems like YouTube censors now...??? Anyway, Kucinich or Independent.........that's how I will vote. If the 78 million of us who did not vote in '04 will vote now, Kucinich will be our ELECTED President........

  • IF the process is not completely rigged from start to finish as the last election was. I think we should still vote though, as an experiment, to see if we have a fair and balanced system or not. The question then would be, if the system is completely rigged, how many new citizens will canada have by 2009?

  • Sorry, did not mean to spam you, actually I didn't...??? as you can see you have a +1, so why it went "hide" I have no idea. What I was going to say is that by going Independent (as I have been for 15 yrs.) that prevents you from voting in the primaries in almost all states. So, you end up not having a say as to who eventually becomes the candidate for either party.

  • what I mean is that in the primaries I will vote kucinich, if he doesn't get the nomination, I will vote for the independent later

  • so, gyuri you believe that their will be an Independent run? I've been hearing about a Kucinich/Paul match up??? thats what I'm going to do as well. I changed my party affiliation for the primary and then intend to return IMMEDIATELY to an Independent.

  • Good job Davis. I was wondering about Keyes and Kucinich. There is no excuse for Kucinich's exclusion. He's clearly an active candidate while Keyes came out of nowhere and totally derailed the Republican debate every chance he got.

  • why Iowa why?

  • Betcha it was the Clinton campaign that got him ousted.

  • maybe Edwards

  • More like a joint effort between all the top tier campaigns. Welcome to your dictatorship.

  • True. They did conspire together (caught on tape) to get "smaller groups" because Kucinich and Gravel weren't "serious."

  • so who did make that decision finally? and why?

  • Sorry guys, I just realized I was at an official type site here. I was carried away by the fact that the 1st to go was Mike G &

the 3ed will probably be R Paul & well your comments..oh well.

  • That's OK, I officially cursed and typo-ed, this so pisses me off.

  • Kucinich..the ONLY CHOICE FOR THE COMMON MAN/WOMAN!

  • Hey Methadone4Life, why stop there when you can get the War on People/Nature miscalled

the War on Drugs ended with Mike Gravel?

  • Kucinich IS ending the drug war! Read his platform! But Gravel is awesome too, Dennis and Mike should totally combine forces.

  • what are you talking about gravel wants to legalize weed!

  • Dennis' party doesn't want him to win. New campaign slogan: Vote for Dennis. Stick It Everybody!

  • CampHazzard, why not really Stick It to Everybody and vote for Mike Gravel!?!

  • I am still stunned that this happened! Hopefully the "money bomb" went well today and Dennis will have the funds where they can't just shut him up like this!! I contributed today with 2 of my friends! I hope everyone else did too!

    Kucinich '08!!

  • Iowa sux!

They should not be first in anything.

  • What wall-to-wall sleazebags! And hw interesting that the *only* people filmed who weren't hostile were those in Ron Paul's office. (No, I'm not voting for him, just worth noting.)

  • I found that noteworthy, too. I'm for DK rather than RP, but...RP has played by the rules and has been censored in his candadacy as well as DK.

Agreeing or disagreeing with a candidate is not enuf. Our whole electoral process has been subverted for corporate interests.

  • That's messed up.

But seriously, does it surprise you when everyone in power will do anything to stay in power including banning their leading competition.

They just knew how well dennis would do.

    So much for Democracy.

What an underhanded, sleazy move by Iowa.

I am shamed as an American.

  • Party my French, but those motherfuckers. What a sick, sick nation we've become.

  • Where the fuck were you the day before the debate?

  • This video should be featured on YouTube's frontpage.

    Excellent investigative video!

    I'll pass it around!!

    EVERYONE PLEASE DO SO TOO!

  • nice video

  • "Can you help embarrass them for me, please" - lol.

  • great job davis and everyone else. thank you for making this public

  • This was just ridiculous i cant believe they excluded him...

  • and this is the *democratic* american party...

  • Whats up with every one not wanting to be on camera? Do they have something to hide? Are they scared of Dennis Kucinich because they know he's the best one running, or because the more he gets to debate them, the worse they look?

  • Fascism is biting America in the ass right now. How long will it be before we realize that there's a gaping wound in our buttocks?
