No windex it will ruin the game quicker I did it as a kid and ruined it use a eraser and alcohol that is how you clean o do it when it gets pretty bad only

Ok in the back of  my Super Mario 2 nes game it says, " CAUTION * DO NOT CLEAN WITH BENZENE, THINNER, ALCOHOL, OR OTHER SUCH SOLVENTS" ???? Hello! so what the hell are we sappose to use?

no its because theyre made out of copper which corrodes easily and is soft and easy to damage. then w/the super nintendo they switched to something else

@sabledavenport it only says that because some cleaning kits contained that back in the day. Rubbing alcohol works just fine, but I think windex works better

Nice tutorial. I tried it on my SNES games and they worked again. Well, except for one, but that one was in a really bad condition :D
