Yeah, nice knee Laroque threw. I understand wanting to hit some part of your opponent when they get away from a check but considering who did that to Kronwall I expect a suspension. MCL is the word so far. Not good.

I don't think we can afford Kovie with Datz, Zet, and Franzen locked up long term. Kovie would have to take a cheap deal hoping for the cup. It wouldn't be the first time that happened. Last few games we've done well. Jimmy's been keepin us in the games.

If we wanted to we could get Kovie. If Lidstrom doesn't retire at the end of the season he'll take a large cut. (Under 5 million) Rafi honestly needs to be traded because he's not playing anywhere near the 6 million they're paying him. Draper and Maltby will likely retire along with Ozzy, that opens 5 million in cap room. And if Lidstrom does retire (I doubt he will) money wont even be a question.

And now Kronwall is out for at least 3 weeks.

Pretty soon the whole Griffins team will be in Detroit. Sheesh. This year was questionable at the beginning and now we might as well forget about it. Datz n Zet can't carry the whole team. Rafalski needs to pick it up. He's been a non-issue this year. Too bad we didn't keep Cheli; he woulda been useful now. Forsberg might come back; ha ha. I'm hopin we pick up Biron when DiPietro comes back.
