I grow so weary of people referring to the high sabbaths as "jewish holidays". To my knowledge there are but two jewish holidays: Hannakuh & Purim. The high sabbaths were given to all Israel as a foreshadowing of things to come, and a part of God's plan.

Replacing them with pagan holy days, as most churches have, is a huge red flag as to whether a church teaches the Bible or traditions of men. Not saying a church need keep the sabbaths, but understand them and not flirt with paganism.

About the sabbath... Christ became became our sabbath. That is, he is the rest of God that we enter into upon conversion. The ritual of "keeping" the 7th day is unnecessary.

The 7th day sabbath does represent something important however (as do all the sabbaths). It represents to us entering God's rest(Christ) on the 7th and final day(i.e., the remainder of our lives), putting to rest the works of the world of the previous 6 days.

I watched this entire series and though I disagree with Armstrong in a great many areas, I believe the way this show was edited is quite unfair to him. Adding graphics that dispute a guest after the fact is kind of underhanded. They should have gotten someone on the stage to simply debate him directly and allow him to defend all the points made in the graphics.

Try dissecting the 4th commandment....try producing the command to keep sunday instead of saturday as the sabbath.....explain why we call God FATHER and Jesus the SON of God?...Why are we called BRETHREN?....Why is Jesus a BROTHER to us?....Why is Jesus called the FIRSTBORN among MANY BRETHREN?

The only thing Armstrong got away of that I have found was the FULL message of the 'gospel'.
