  • Registered Dietician VeganHealth dotorg breaks it all down beyond what most need to know but a decent balanced vegan diet and you should live longer. All should take a multi-vitamin and omega-3 flaxseed oil rather than fish.

  • @superdudeaway too much of anything is not best. I use almond/rice/coconut milk substitues for cereal and do eat some processed soy/tofu mock meats, much healthier than the real thing but get the taste. Of course natural fruit, veggies and whole grain breads/pastas should be the majority of our diets.

    Good info in the nutrition section. BTW, I understand honey is a pre-digested food (by the bees) with little value...I like to use 100% pure maple syrup, lots of nutrients.

  • Jon Fitch, no offense, you are a great fighter, but your diet seems off. And I'm not talking about the lack of protein, it has more to do with the lack of calories you are getting in (judging from the vid), I walk around at 185, fight at 170, train like 3 times a week for 2 hours at most at a day, I seem to eat 4 times more then you, how is it still possible you fight at 170lbs with a low calorie diet like that?

  • Interesting to see. Probably a good diet for overall health, and the best possible vegan diet for a training athlete. Although I think most athletes will perform better with animal products and high glucose foods directly after a workout. All the fruit sugar is fructose which is harder for the body to break down and ultimately will not replenish glycogen as

    much which is crucial for all exercise. Anywho thanks for sharing john!

  • @OfficialJonFitch Jon, is there a minimum amount of protein you make sure you consume per day in order to maintain or build muscle? Such as 70 grams of protein per day for example? Or do you just focus more on your weight training. In other words, do you think a person on a very low protein raw/vegan diet can maintain or build muscle do to weight training daily rather than protein intake?
