This is a great band... too bad no one gave them the credit they deserved. Their style was better than other the bands that were popular at that time, all of them from the US. I'm from South America and I couldn't buy their album because they didn't sell it here so I had to ask an aunt who lives in NY to bought it for me. It was the first (and only) time I ventured to buy an album just listening one song and I have no regrets at all. I still have it and I still listen to it.

Well, they are coming out with a new greatest hits album, that is going to be officially released in October of this year. It's also going to have some rare / unreleased tracks on it. Keep in mind that this is an OFFICIAL release by Quarashi, not a fan-made compilation! I can't post the link here, but you can go to their official Facebook for more info.

No one really knows. They say they were just tired of making music with each other, no personal problems or anything. Their last album, "Guerilla Disco" was very successful in both Iceland in Japan where it was released and they had a strong fan base, yet they disbanded only a year after the release of "Guerilla Disco".

These guys have a great sound. I got turned on to them in 2002. Hössi Ólafsson sounds a hell of a lot like Adam "Ad Rock" Horowitz so the Beastie Boys comparisons are inevitable. This is from their album Jinx, I think, and it is a very good album that I recommend.
