Awesome Serries, keep it up. 1. What happened to the washers, they seemed so promising? 2. What if you tilted this unit slightly toward one of the holes? 3. You keep talking about hooking up a 6 pack, I am dying to see that (or at least a two or three pack. 4. Enough already with the homemade output measurer; there has to be a professional gas meter you can hook up. If one exists that is under $50, let me know and I'll buy it for you or at least put $50 towards one. Your progress is my progress.
Thanks, I stopped playing with the washers, because even though it looked like decent output, it never gave me the results I was looking for. Maybe if I could get 4" or 5" washers it would be worth while.
I tried setting up a several cells in series, but I didn't have enough power to make it work right.
OK. Probably sounded like I was down on you. Actually, I am a fan! Brevity of 500 characters causes comments to sound gruff.
A 2.1 L engine needs at least 2.1L/min. of HHO to improve mileage. None of your designs are large enough for that production. At least you have not MEASURED production. An HHO device needs to be able to run for 3 hours at a time. Not 45 minutes. American drivers MIGHT check their oil levels monthly. They won't check electrolyte levels every day. Just isn't in them.
No worries, I have tested output on most of my designs, but if the results were less than anticipated, I wouldn't waste the time to make a video.
With this latest design I have not tested the output yet, because I've been testing the new gasket material to see if it would hold up. I ran the cell non-stop for 1 1/2 weeks and then I had to turn it off to refill the reservoir.
BTW.. No leaks on the new gasket material, no heating issues, and Amps never went above 11A @ 12V.
I'm trying to make a LPM Flow Meter that I can use for testing my designs. I could use the old bucket of water and a 1 Liter soda bottle to test output, but I want something more permanent that I can use to test all of my designs.
More cells hooked to a 1 gallon sized reservoir? 2 cells double output? Larger alternator to compensate for draw? What if you used thicker and/ or higher grade steel like that scrap metal wet cell test?
The point is that if you can make a design that will fit under the hood of a car, then anyone can use it. Building fuel cells that can only fit in your trunk does not interest me!
I make these videos to share ideas with others. I demonstrate proof of concept, because that gives the viewers ideas that they may be able to implement in their designs.
Increasing fuel efficiency is hard to prove, because each vehicle is different and there are too many variables to consider.
How do you cut your plates... I cut my plates with a cutting disk (1mm Thick) (but is there a better way) And i only had that drilling problem once Then i changed my drill bit to a rotor Broach Which cuts Stainless Steel Like Butter.. (But is there a better way) Also what kind of acrilic do you use.. i used this Black crap and it was stiff until i tightends it up heaps..the it bends and make the thing leak and BTW great design and what not... It should be ( HH 'oh Snap' ) Thanks Buddy
hi man ,cool vid, nice cell, looks like you have same prob as me when drilling holes!lol ,oh to have a nice little workshop! big up nice to hear from you.I 'm not doin much at the mo, but i'm really enthusiastic about dry tube cells.cheers ,FDC
So no updates since? I too am designing small. Today I actually have something that looks promising. Will know more tomorrow.
Your on the right track!

Hey where do you get this good stainless steel I can find it but it is really expensive

mcmastercarr(dot)com is where I get most of my materials.
Go to "Raw Materials" > "Shim Stock"

hey,why you drill two holes? why don't just one in the middle?
Ace011mm 2 years ago
@Ace011mm
I tried one hole in the center and the chambers between the plates would not fill quick enough. With two holes it fills about twice as fast.

I watched this a couple times through trying to catch the plate thickness. Is that 18 gauge stainless?

I estimate it will take at least 64 cu in of HHO reactor for 2.1L/min of HHO. And this is on the tiny end of engines in American vehicles.
Keep up the good work and keep it "real."

I've been cutting them with Tin Snips, but I just found a company that will laser cut them for me for really cheap.
The Acrylic that I have was given to me by a friend, so I'm not sure what type it is.
Thanks for the comments

I use an Angle Grinder (its really easy)

Post me your sizes and I will do you CNC laser cut ones for cheap.

Hand drilling the plates is a major pain, but I've already put in my request to my wife for a drill press at xmas.

That is exactly what I was thinking.

For a real cool looking wire, and one that is very efficent , try those gold plated speaker wires.
mikepowers420 2 years ago
The wire you are using is a resister. It's not coming into contact with the electrolyte, so copper wire is just fine to use, and more efficent.
mikepowers420 2 years ago
Good point. I will have to use copper wire instead.
I like the way the galvanized steel cable looks with the vinyl coating. I guess I could use low gauge speaker wire to get the same look.

If you make it so the holes do not lign up by fliping every other one it should make voltage leak less.
Just a thought.
Greasy01 2 years ago
I'll have to put that on my list. It would be interesting to see if it made any difference.

i think youll find electrical shortage from the edges of the twin holes
thessolonki 2 years ago
I have a sealant that I am going to experiment with on the holes, so there will hopefully not be any current shortage.
