Yes, whyyyyyy does he do that sheep vibrato thing? If you don´t have a natural vibrato, don´t even try to do it... Steven Wilson doesn´t have it so he just maintain the tone without it and that is SO much better than the sheep vibrato that Aviv have... Aviv is a brilliant song and text writer, bad in pronouncing english words but it´s OK. But please, I hope he stops the vibrato thing... :P

Don't get me wrong people, I totally love all the Steve's music, but I've just watched the whole concert and in my opinion Aviv can't sing FOR SHIT!!! I mean, not to hate on the guy, but his voice nowhere close to anything good. Maybe it's because singing next to Wilson would make anybody - or almost anybody (credits here for John Wesley) - sound lame, but it totally ruins the show. You can judge the singer by his live performance, and to my mind Aviv fails here miserably...

To those who never heard Aviv Geffen sing in hebrew, believe me he does a much much better job in English even though the accent obviously is somewhat annoying when he sings live. in the studio though it is less apparent and he surprisingly sounds pretty good. geffen is a brilliant songwriter. Please stop comparing him with Steve wilson who is one of those unique trifecta talents.

He's a great singer, songwriter, & guitar player. They compliment each other nicely making Blackfield a great band

@MrJasonroy Aviv did the hebrew version when he was - like - 17 or so, on his first album ever, painted as an israeli Marylin Manson. Since then he grew up and developed much better than anticipated. A modern interpretation by him would sound much better than the originl raw stuff.

I think that, at least from my perspective, the hook for this song is when the first verse ends and Wilson comes in with the really low, powerful guitar notes that totally overpower the ones the piano had been offering. It's like, "alright, now we mean business, bitch." Hah.
