y the hell is everyphone compared to the iphone? o well let me take a basic phone and compare it to the top of the line smartphone and compare how bad it is
I've had to replace it 2 times and it six like hell.... The speakers broke my screen wasn't responsive and it waz very fragile... I jus got a droid and I was so exited.... The droid 2 iz great. Unlike the glyde u can actually listen to music while u do things like txting. Also u don't have to click the fn button every time u want to use the simple arrows.... Get the droid... Any one of them...

this phone is my first samsung touch screen, and deffinatly my last, do not buy this phone. it was a great phone for me for a about 2 weeks, then the screen would always freeze, the screen randomly goes white, and even when the sensitivity is on high, it doesnt work, the camera takes good pictures, but it takes 57 seconds to take the picture. this phone is deffinatly not one of the best.

The voyager is not better! I have the glyde and i've had it for 2 months now. Some people say the touch screen sucks, well get the new BI29 software update! It fixes everything
I have the enV2 right now and i hate it. the glyde looks way better. the enV2 has small screen, calls people when i dont want to and leaves voicemails, etc.
I'm having a little trouble with mine. I have like a white background kinda thing not the black and blue. I also have a shortcut folder off to the side and not the square. Anyone know how I change that?
What u have is the upgrade of the glyde. So it changes where the stuff is alittle and the menu is white. Im not exactly sure if u can change it or not. the 1 u have also makes the touch screen better

my touch screen goes really weird on me sometimes. like I can click the little bar at the bottom of the screen and it'll take me to the dial pad. stuff like that.

its more sleek and nice than the blackberry storm. and its the only touch screen other than the lg dare that you dont have to pay for the internet even if you're not going to use it. if you buy the blackberry storm , you have to buy the internet package even if you never open up windows explorer. thats pretty lame.
the glyde is really nice. the graphics are sick because it has shadows under the menus. i'm 14. i dont need an htc or anything...they're a bit nicer...but they're expensive and stupid because they have many different features you won't use.

No i wouldn't get this phone i have it and the touch screen often doesn't work. You often have to shut the phone down once or twice to get it to work i have had them replace it once and the problem still persists.

Ive had mine for 6 months and hate it. Touch screen is horrible. Couldn't even use my phone when I needed it. Finally got Verizon to send me another one and they send it to my old house.(haven't lived there in 6 years) so I just got another one today and it doesn't have a battery or back cover..
check your glydes phone settings if yours have nine listings which includes quicksearch you cn watch you tube videos if yours only have eight listings i doubt you can access youtube videos
i just want to make a quick correction, there are two versions for the glyde, one contains the flash feature which lets you go on youtube, i am on my glyde i promise i am and there are some glydes that cant go watch videos on youtube like mines can, my best bet for getting a video viewable glyde is to get it from circuitcity verizon because that is where i got mine from.

i have the glyde, and i had problems with the touch screen. I brought it to verizon and the guy was like " didnt u get the text? there was a glitch with these phones" then he transfored the stuff that was on my glyde to another glyde and that new glyde works perfectly!

this phone is complete garbage. every since ive had it ive had screen problems. there is no perfect balance of touch sensitivity. i could hit the top of the screen and it would register at the bottom requiring me to turn the phone off and than back on to do anything. and to get out of a call you cant just hang up, you have to unlock your phone than press the end button on the touch screen which is problematic. and dont even try dialing numbers from the dial pad unless you want to break ur phone

you can't because you have the upgraded software.
go to the Verizon store & MAYBE they will downgrade it for you. xD

i am going to go get a new phone in like ten days and i have had my eyes set on the glyde for a while - i know a lot of people dislike it, but thats what they said about the juke, and that wasnt that bad so if you think there is another phone i should buy, please let me know - thanks!

No i wouldn't get this phone i have it and the touch screen often doesn't work. You often have to shut the phone down once or twice to get it to work i have had them replace it once and the problem still persists.

IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT BUYING THE GLYDE BY SAMSUNG........
My friend has this phone and says that the touch screen freezes up and won't let you do anything, puts applications on your phone randomly, and she says that she HATES IT!!
Obviously, if you want to spend all of your money on a CRAPPY phone, please go ahead and buy it!
Please, if you have the Glyde, don't take offense.
She says that it takes good pictures and that it's fun to play on the touch screen.
Get the iPhone!

The glyde ow has a new update to it that makes the touch screen better. Also it has new menus. I am getting a new phone with in the next couple of weeks and im trying to decide if i should get the samsung glyde or the lg versa. Message me telling me what you think.

I really like this review your honest about this phone.
I just purchased mine last night and its coming in the mail tomorrow.
Iv had crappy phones that are horrible and I think this one with be great for me, although the touch screen acts up, thats fine, iv had phones where the actual real buttons would act up and I lived.

once in a while my glyde ramdomly spazzes by vibrating really fast and i dont know whats happening. ANd when i touch the top part of the screen it thinks i touched the button at the bottom of the screen?!?!?! Also can you trade in your phone for a completely different phone?

Listen to Silverain27 I have had the Glyde for 3 days and it is the biggest piece of shit phone I have ever used in my life. The touch screen is so unresponsive and jacked up it is a joke. Trust me DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. Now I have to pay a 30 $ restocking fee to get rid of it and buy a Voyager.

omg do NOT get the glyde, i've had it for 4 months and it's the worst phone i've ever had. the touch screen will randomly not work (touch the bottom button and the top button will press instead), i'm planning on making them give me a new phone or go buy a new one myself, it is THAT bad

i have this phone and the touchscreen didnt work very well until i figured out that you gotta set it on whater sensativity level you want... it starts out on medium i think i have mine on high and it works great

it was $50 with a $50 mail in rebate it is a 2-yr contract mines came with a 2gb memory card and my glyde can go on youtube and watch videos and narutomaniac i read your email on my glyde and i am replying on it and i just watched the video on my phone.

hey, i have the same phone... the reason the screen is touching itself is because it needs to be upgraded. i upgraded it yesterday and it works perfectly now. just thought i should inform you so you don't have a shitty phone for a long period of time lol :)

yeah, they discontinued the glyde also. i'm about ready to upgrade and wanted to get the glyde, and 2 verizon stores told me they are. now i'm looking at the omnia.

Ive had mine for 6 months and hate it. Touch screen is horrible. Couldn't even use my phone when I needed it. Finally got Verizon to send me another one and they send it to my old house.(haven't lived there in 6 years) so I just got another one today and it doesn't have a battery or back cover..

check your glydes phone settings if yours have nine listings which includes quicksearch you cn watch you tube videos if yours only have eight listings i doubt you can access youtube videos

i just want to make a quick correction, there are two versions for the glyde, one contains the flash feature which lets you go on youtube, i am on my glyde i promise i am and there are some glydes that cant go watch videos on youtube like mines can, my best bet for getting a video viewable glyde is to get it from circuitcity verizon because that is where i got mine from.

if ur having problems with the touch screen, go to verizon and u can easily replace it with a new one...u have up to three replacements...i replaced my phone after i had touch screen issues, and this new one works like a champ

i have the glyde, and i had problems with the touch screen. I brought it to verizon and the guy was like " didnt u get the text? there was a glitch with these phones" then he transfored the stuff that was on my glyde to another glyde and that new glyde works perfectly!

this phone is complete garbage. every since ive had it ive had screen problems. there is no perfect balance of touch sensitivity. i could hit the top of the screen and it would register at the bottom requiring me to turn the phone off and than back on to do anything. and to get out of a call you cant just hang up, you have to unlock your phone than press the end button on the touch screen which is problematic. and dont even try dialing numbers from the dial pad unless you want to break ur phone
