  • It sucks.... I can barely get any of my wuss friends out on a simple day hike. I almost feel bad for them... they miss out on great hiking in the great outdoors everytime.

Oh well.. I'll keep inviting them anyways. =(

    It's their loss. =\

  • hey nutn, why dont you hunt? with all the rifles that you have, and the shotguns? why not do it and save some money on meat?

  • I dont ever see you hydrate alli, im positive you do cause of your obviously love for her (she totally rocks by the way!!! your vids with her have made up my mind that a black lab will be my next pup.) But im curious about what your system for her is if its just a bowl you carry and a water bottle for her that you just recycle back to the bottle. just curious

  • "boy hes gotta big butt..." he sounded seduced, seriously. i think he ment it

  • I was on the fence about BuggetNuster's personality [After watching a good amount of vids now.] Rather then bash him in comments like a D-bag,I let it ride, whatever. That being said,I think this video showed a real cool side to him. Change my impression of him for sure. *That soft shit aside-Awesome vid, beautiful country as always. As you guys climb that slope,i'll climb thru more vids. Thanks Nutn & crew for all the hard work!

  • I recently had to put down my dog because of old age too. It sucks to loose such a good friend.

  • No homo, but these guys are a good hiking pair. Nutn youre fuckin awesome, bro!

  • What is the music at the beginning from? It's so beautiful!

  • The Music is Very "Lord of the Rings" themed, i like it! :) The landscape reminds me of the movies as well, Favorite movies for sure.

  • Which state is this?

  • @tobigforyou i would bet UT

  • What a grate adventure! Intense!

  • allie sounds like a swiss cow with this bell

  • were did you find that music(opening song)!

  • The combination of the music and video at the beginning made me feel like I was watching a video recap of Nutnfancy's life, almost like it was being played at his funeral. Which drives the point, get out there and make those memories! Great video, as usual, Nutnfancy.

Inspiring video. Keep up the good work; it is highly appreciated.

  • There are few things in life harder than putting down a great dog. I said goodbye to my best friend of 10 years in Jan 2008. My Boxer, Bismarck. I helped deliver him into the world and I had to send him out when he lost his fight with lymphoma. Devastating. But for 10 years he was as good as it gets.

  • Awesome! I'm inspired.

  • hey bro, where did you get the music for this video? it's nice....

  • BuggetNuster: "Boy, he's got a big butt.." HAHHAA

  • my heart goes out to your bud for having to put his dog down. i had to put my lil buddy of 13 years (im 22) down, now he was a long haired chihuahua, good family pet and alarm system. His name was Hercules, we named him that because for such a little dog he was wicked strong, he could easily jump a good 5 foot in the air, slam someone in the back and knock them out the door if he didnt like them to much.

  • can someone PM me the rat sniper videos? ty

  • Alot of the people who say all you need is a small knife are always people who do everything in they're back yard. They can offord to do more then they have to because they can go in get a rest and order a pizza when they are tired. they don't know how tireing a five mile hike up a mountain would be. Anybody who can do that hike and then build shelter or fire with a 4 inch knife whould have to be superhuman

  • Nice vid! 5/5. Do you know if I can buy that dog pack in europe aswell ? Becuase i've got a border collie and i'd like to go hiking with him, as you do it :) How much was it?

  • Thanks for the great videos Nutnfancy, it's nice for me to watch these because let's face it, I'd like to be outside everyday, but with college and stuff I can't. But watching these videos is nice because I can at least watch you out in the wilderness doing what i wish i were doing at the moment.

  • I have watched this video serous 5 or 6 times and have showed it to all my friends. Great vid Nutn

  • Yes half the battle is getting out. But at the moment, my battle is getting my gear :( Then i can enjoy everything western british columbia has to offer!

  • it's like a dream world

  • what is the name of the song at the very end of part 1??? I play piano and would love to get the music for that song.

  • Dude I totally dig the music choice for this series of videos, so calming, its just so representive of that area, I love the Western U.S. its so beautiful

  • sorry.... 10:45-11:10

oh by the way, nice pimply ass

    great vid

    thx (again)

  • Man 11:00, thats deep stuff. i was almost frickin crying, and you have no idea how true that is. its all you'll have left.

    thx

  • Lmao, priceless timing with the gps tool comment, as friendlies are coming into the frame.... bwawawa

  • Thanks so much for annotating what pack Allie wears while hiking. I have two Australian Cattledogs (Sydney and Ambika) and we love to hike. We had been looking at packs for the girls and that Kelty is what we will be buying. Once again keep up the great work.

  • global warming is bull shit

  • those dudes definitely thought you called them tools hahaha

  • That's just what my English springer spaniel,Toby, is like

  • It's midnight & 80 deg F. Fire crackers & fireworks are going off in the background because it's Chinese New Year. Lightning & thunder heralded rain & wind a couple of hours ago. & I'm watching High Skies thinking back to the time my friends & I went up to Big Bear & Arrowhead in the winter. Sigh...

  • That mountain dog needs her own channel!!!

  • She'd steal all our viewers! ;) -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy she would because shes so damn cute and funny as hell

  • That's a good dog you got there, Nutn'. She's carrying her own food which is the coolest thing ever!

  • I admire your lifestyle! Keep up the great vids!

  • dude what state are you in in this video?

im from sweden and i just fell in love with the nature i would love to know.

ps i love all our videos.

    gratz from sweden =)

  • He's from Idaho

  • another amazing vid but i have a question about how much does your bag way i want to compare to my bag thx 5/5

  • "Boy he's got a big butt. How 'bout that, gorgeous." - BuggetNuster

    That's funny!

  • Allie would probably be a good Quail hunting/pointer dog minus the bell.

  • He's got a big butt ? !!!! Why are you lookin at another dudes butt to start with !!!! HaHaHa

  • It's just a good natured spoof, dumbass.

Try to acquire a better sense of humor.

  • ditto ! In case you can't read Hahaha means i'm joking around and laughing. As in HUMOR

  • Hey nutnfancy, have you ever thought about an electronic tracker for ally? She seems to go all over the place :P. Poor Sarah :(

  • Great vid man...whats the song at the beginning and end?...It's beautiful and fits the vid perfectly. Well done.

  • Oh my... I literally just had to spit water out of my mouth cause I laughed so hard at the 18:20 mark — "thick body, big ankles so they won't snap on this stuff" — God that was priceless. Don't even lose the sense of humor TNP!

  • great vid man

  • Does that bell on your dog ever get annoying?

  • I love that bell, but I do think it got on their nerves after a while cause they took it off. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • lol that...not so much

  • nutnfancy your my hero keep er up

    Plssss review the glock 21c!

  • I like their equipment

  • Just awesome. Five stars.

  • do you carry a firearm when hiking

  • Great vid! Love the music!

  • Allie's bell reminds me of hiking in Zermatt's valley.

  • Hey man Im glad to see some nice newer hiking vids of u and bugget there awesome keep em coming

  • Thanks dude, thought there'd be a reason. To Gunmanguns, please excuse my bolshiness. I'd had a bad day and kind of had a "manners rant" at your expense. Apologies

    Cheers

  • no problem we have all done the same some time or the other.

  • SARA R.I.P.):!!!!!!!!!

  • NICE...

  • Nutn as soon as you said you would give me 5 bucks to jump in and get a trout, would be stripping down and getting my knife out.

  • Now THAT would'of been a priceless footage ^^

  • Absolutely GORGEOUS views ... I could spend a month there and NOT care one bit. I bet this is one of the major reasons you keep going back to the same area. How about some reviews on Allie's gear Weight load, dog packs, basic gear available stuff like that ?

  • Kaboom, those dog reviews are SO on the table, its just a matter of Nutn getting time to do them. But they are coming, he knows viewers want them. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Awesome video. Nothing better then hanging with your bro, and enjoying mother nature, and getting it done. Again great video.

  • nutnfancy not very smart to carry your trekking poles like that your bound to have those in your neck or head.

  • Or... in other words,

Nutn, quick question, what's the thinking behind carrying the poles point up? (you've got to have a philosophy on hiking pole carriage, surely! ;) ) Must be a reason, but I'd have thought that carries the risk of injury?

Anyway, great vids, love watching. Thanks.

    Manners, anyone?

  • Dukeyboy,

    manners?

I was only looking out for his safety. I am sorry i didn't pull out a thesaurus to write my sentence to make my point.

I bet talking to you on a daily would make one want to put a gun in his mouth.

  • If I may answer, the ends of those poles are quite sharp, some have carbide tips. Being point up, the non-sharp handle is what contacts the pack and not the "business end".

  • buggetnuster looks related to inadvertant smell

  • Fuck an A, boys. Love the winter and fall.

  • dude just bust a move lmao

  • why was buggetnuster staring at nutn's ass?

  • yeah wtf????

    that was awkward

  • Sweet. My brother lives in CO. We used to spend a lot of time up in the Sangre De Cristo mountain range winter camping with minimal gear. Good times.. Again nice vid's.

  • Nutn, the quality of videos you produce is so much above the standard, you get 5 stars within 15 seconds of the video being loaded.

Keep doing what your doing. Keeping it real, giving us the real info.

    Rock on man. Rock on.

  • looks like you guys had some hickers ahead, judging by the tracks in the snow.

  • looks like wyoming.

  • Crampons...! Where's your crampons!? You hit some ice on that steep terrain and you are HOSED! You'll be making like a rag doll all the way back to your truck... The poles are a great idea though!

  • I got to tell ya: I'm in the basement of a large medical complex monitoring surveillance cameras, radios, alarms, phones and all the rest. Overwatching my Officers to insure their safety. It's 0407 HRS and I've been at this for hours now. I cannot even tell you how much I would rather be out there breathing pine scented, frosty mountain air. Thankfully, for me, that's only moments away and I need to get out there. The visceral response your video illicited clearly underscores my need...

  • Love the peaceful music intro. Puts you in a free spirit feeling.

  • I love to hike, hunt, fish everything outdoors but the only problem is all my buds are sittin on their ass playin Xbox all day and all night and it drives me crazy knowing they will probly regret it for the rest of their life when they get older

  • point ur walking poles down.. I do a face plant and your gonna get a nasty surprise to back of the head.

  • awsome video nut! anyone know what the name of this music is? thx

  • About the dogs would you consider the American Pit bull Terrier a good breed for this kind of stuff?

  • heck no. pit bulls are mean. plus their thin coat wont keep them warm in these temps.

  • Reminds me of my back yard... Beautiful British Columbia (Vancover Island) Canada... your a great dude and I totally dig your project.... Can't count how many times I've stayed up lateat night just watching your vids.... Thanks Bro...

  • Very relaxing to watch. Time to get out and hike.

  • Have you, by chance, hiked San Gorgonio in Southern California?

  • part 2 ! please!

btw, does somebody know witch cam he's using currently?

  • what a place to hike

  • Awesome.

  • Lots of guys may watch your video and say "dude, why are you breathing heavy?".

I can honestly say, that at 9100 feet, I would be laying down to catch my breath ever hundred feet or so!

OK, I'll be honest, I'm a little out of shape. I have lived most of my life below 900 feet, and am totally spoiled by all that oxygen stuff. On my last mountain hike (at 6200 feet) I was walking very slowly, and was very winded.

  • You and BuggetNuster are so funny busting on each other!

    Can't wait for the pt2!

    - Abigsky

  • what an excellent video. cant wait for the nexrt installments. rock on.

  • Some people have been inquiring as to the name of the song in the beginning of this video. So was I.

The piece is called "Long Road Ahead" by Kevin MacLeod.

The link is in the "More Info" section of this video and found under "Royalty-Free Music". If you're going to download it for free, make sure to say thanks and send Kevin an email. I did.
