Sadly, no one in the L.A. area was able to see this live game on TV because it has been blacked out for the L.A. Coliseum hardly sold out most games. This clip enable L.A. fans in the local area on the YouTube to see this; just a tiny blessing for those in Tinseltown.
I LOVED this music! And I remember this game...it was the last for Lyle Alzado...ruptured his Achilles...wasn't very exciting, but the Raiders won something like 16-6...another 100 yard game for eventual MVP Marcus Allen.
@cbaldwinjr What is with the Bengals injuring our great players (Bo Jackson too). Actually Lyle Alzado did play again in the 1990 preseason when he attempted a comeback but did not stay long.
@copraiders1 That's right...yeah, someone has a clip of him in the preseason game against the Bears from '90. But I was referring to an actual game. But yep...Kevin Walker taking out Bo...I was at the Coliseum for that game courtesy of my uncle Ickey Woods (no joke).
@cbaldwinjr That is so cool. I am beyond jealous. I love the Raiders but I am one of the few that liked them in LA. I went to several LA Raider games here in Denver but never got to see them at the Coliseum.
I Believe This Was A VIdeo Clip Of NBC Sports' NFL On NBC: Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Los Angeles Raiders Video Open From Late Sunday Afternoon, November 17, 1985.
@AiruhnG Have you seen them play ? It was a little tongue in cheek humor -- which being the husband of a long suffering Bengals fan I have to do to keep sanity in the home..
all those empty seats no fan support means no football in your city. Sorry L.A. i don't see a team coming in the near future.
