hey karl! i'm a 15 year old male from Alberta, i love the blues, especially muddy, and son house. especially this song, how just one man can capture the feelings of a life time in 2 minutes, with his voices and hands, magic. I've been recently trying to add guitar to this song. would you be open to sharing the tabs? i look forward to your response
@C0RBIN69 Hello there! Yes, it's a great song! I'll give you the chords (tabs) from this open tuning,I'll get back to you later, I'm working late this evening! Thank you for listening and asking! Feels great that the blues still lives on in young peoples minds! Probably because it's a genuine and truthful form of art and expression! The blues composers are kind of 20th century prophets! -karl
Heyup Karl. Everytime you manage to come up with an atmosphere thats ..well..'menacing'...mixed with some kind of bluesy-sadness. Not many can do that I reckon. So you capture the atmosphere really well. Nicely done as Kev said below. Keep on picking karl- Ian
@ianmcgeachy Thanks, Ian! Well, it's not my initial intention to create those mixed feelings, it's a part of me I guess that show up in music. In the bottom I'm just a song and dance man! Kind Regards! -karl
@karlake2 Yeh- I should clarify what I said:."everytime "..I mean for those blues numbers appropriately. In that respect, its an enhancement. I like to hear blues numbers and many people like playing blues numbers...but how many actually impart 'atmosphere' -some of 'em do yes, but certainly not all utube artistes for a start. Ive also heard plenty of pub band 'shouted' 12 bar blues -okay for rock music- yet dont capture any 'blues' atmosphere at all. So thats why I like your blues. regards-Ian
@electricragtime Thanks Kev! Well, Son House, he played with Robert Johnson amongst others. He made classic blues songs. What more can you say? He's one of the blues prophets. How do you speak the prophets word? Kind regards! -karl
