Having a minimum standard of living is based on choices you make. It is not a basic human right. People who can't make their own way need to be helped by social programs by all means, but people who don't try, do not deserve anything in my opinion. Why should I work hard to subsidize the habits and laziness of others?

Then he says BO should be criticised for being on Jay Leno. That's his opinion, but he doesn't seem to criticise GWB where he slipped in speeches, but does talk crap on BO when he uses a telepeprompter, which is normal whenever he goes public. Either way Nations in Europe are struggling immensly right now due to the stress the social programs are putting on their economies. Look at Greece. The UK isn't doing much better. Your idea of socialism sounds nice, but that has never been the result of any social program I know of.

If you only care to check what the root of the problem is you wouldn't be fooling yourself. Maybe bob doesn't get straight facts wrong but twisting the facts and drawing faulty conclusions from it is all around in his videos.

@Subher0 Just look at the social programs in the US. Take Welfare for example... It hasn't helped people rise above poverty levels in mass quantities. Having a minimum standard of living is based on choices you make. It is not a basic human right. People who can't make their own way need to be helped by social programs by all means, but people who don't try, do not deserve anything in my opinion. Why should I work hard to subsidize the habits and laziness of others?

Maybe the people who are poor do not get the chances you get e.g. educational, because of their race, because of social prejudice etc. In America regular things cost twice as much, because of taxes, which doesn't really matter to rich people, and hurts poor people.

@Subher0 I never once got close to mentioning the abolishment of welfare. I do not think of poverty and laziness as the same thing, but it is a fact that poverty can be a side effect of laziness. As I stated before "We need to take care of people who can not take care of themselves", however I have 0 sympathy for anyone who smokes, drinks, wastes money on expensive clothes, tattoos, cable TV, etc. and is on welfare. That is what I was refering to with the subsidation comment.
