@nubiacoco I don't know mstanish's reason, but my hair is healthy and long, and I still wear weaves.. It gives my hair a rest from any manipulation, so I retain all of my length/ thickness.. Also it gives me a break from doing my hair when my schedule is too busy.

It may not appear to blend well at the moment, but give it a few days. I created a wig with the same hair and I found that the longer I wore it the better it blended. I have a very similar texture of hair as yours. Another trick I used to tame the shine and help it to blend was to spray the hair with dry shampoo and then fluff. Hope this helps! You look fabulous!

@mstanish1 Dry Shampoo is a spray product (usually aerosol) that helps to absorb oil and debris from the hair. You spray it on, much like hairspray, allow to dry and then brush out. In this case, I didn't brush it out; I fluffed it, as I did not want to frizz the hair much. I found that over time the moisturizer from my leave out would transfer to the wig, causing it to get oil. The brand of hair does NOT like oil, so this helped to manage it. The brand Salon Grafix Dry Shampoo. :-)
