Calling these TAR sands is incorrect. There is no TAR in the sands. TAR is a byproduct from bitumen. You guys, i wrk in fort mac, its a nice place, good people from all over. IF you have never been to fort mac, dont make assumptions that you see in a narrow minded video from the envrio nazais or the media. Do you understand how tailings ponds work? They are contained areas where the sand and particles left over from the bitumen extraction process settle out... when they are filled in, the entire area is reclaimed and restored to the quality it was before any mining took place (or better).

Next time, do some research and come forward with solutions, not just complaints and whining.
