hey , keep it up. You are on the right track. I think Phrasing is key for your improvement. If you manage the phrasing better, you breathing will then under control. Well, pratice makes perfect. Use your own ears. listen and listen to your own recording. Good job. Oscar
That was okay. However, real men play Baritone Saxophone.
Actually, I think this would sound way better on a bari sax...
Be right back, trying it out...
Also, your timing was ridiculous. You're okay as playing in general, but your not all that great at holding a steady beat, nor are you good at synchronizing to a song.
Yes, this was my 5th take and my chops were busted by then so my timing was a bit off. I do actullay play bari. In fact, bari is my favorite to play. I do appreciate your opinion.
but
You say on your videos too not post bad comments. Well, I think your use of the words "real men" "ridiculous" was a bit negative. So, I'd very much like to see a video of yourself doing better. I challanage you mr. norinvaux. Prove to youtube that YOU are a real man.
@norinvaux When you have an alto saxophone, play that saxophone. Jazz is demanding, your style will improve. Right now your style is too mechanic, too straight forward like a machine. But after some time you will get the feeling, and in jazz it's all about feeling. Real men have feeling! Listen to your background music, you are running away from it! (Greetings from Norway. I play swing jazz on the clarinet and the tenor).

well, there's just one thing. You DO use your stomach muscles with vibrato. Using your enbouchure will get you a vibrato, and practising that vibrato WILL eventually make your vibrato sound exceptional. But ultimately that type of vibrato isn't ideal, because it closes and opens the space between your reed and mouthpiece. Closing and opening the space between your reed and your mouthpiece is cutting off the air supply to your instrument, which you don't want. So use your stomach muscles.
Well, I don't know of any where you could read about it. You don't use your stomach muscles vibrato on a sax; you use your embrasure (your chops / lips). It takes lots of practice. Start your vibrato really wide and over time shallow it little by little. That exercise should give you more control over your chops.

I looked up a karaoke version of the song on youtube and use that was my backing.

@saxmastergq: Awesome! you play very well.
And I think your sax voice will be better if you use another harder reed.
