thats nice but earth population is rising i dont think they can be fed this way but also the current situation cannot go on forever we ll fight for land and water in the future maybe, not for oil.
She says that Martin Crawford is that man behind permaculture system ..NOPE Bill Mollison,Masanobu Fukuoka and Sepp Holzer are the pioneer of Permaculture :) He is good but he is second generation.
Amazing perennial diversity in food forest permacultures, strawberry, raspberry blueberry, horseradish, etc. A hundred different plants growing together makes crop failure a statistical impossibility! We must overcome our addiction to annuals like wheat and corn, and eat more perennial strawberries!
Shame she didn't visit a biodynamic market garden which is closed loop (like permaculture) supplying all it's nutrient needs and son from the one farm. Difference is there is a goal of producing excess for market. Permaculture in my view has not proven itself commercially viable as a farm. In australia mostpermie farms generate income from design courses...not food.
You don't need to be that extreme; just growing a few veggies in pots on a balcony or herbs in a window box is very rewarding. And taste a lot better than shop bought ones :)
Rewarding film. Forget Prozac and start growing your own food. Support action against Monsanto before they stop any of us from being able to grow anything.
I gotta tell ya I thought this was going to be some crackpot documentary....... once I buy some land I will definitely try this.

@fortyonenz I agree. We could grow anything anywhere, even the freakin desert if we wanted. We'd just need to do it hydroponically.

The take home message seems to be not to fight against nature. Man does not have dominion over it!
