I´ve got to say that from the very first time I heard her voice I was shocked, she really knows to transmit emotions, I´m a big fan, when I want to relax, and find something positive y usually listen to her music.
I had the distinct pleasure to see Nicole live at the very first Jazz In the Gardens (Miami Gardens, FL) and was very impressed. I had not heard of her until then but was informed by a close friend, vocalist & musician Peter Elliott attending U.M., that she was quite an inspiration to many. She's one of my favorites now. My wife and I really enjoy her talent.
Yes - she's is cool... love her singing and performance style. But, am even more impressed with Mike Orta on piano... he is fantastic -- will be looking for more of his work. Great chords and improvising.

I just saw her Wednesday 1/7/09 at the Frost Art Museum FIU campus (Miami,FL). If you get the chance to see her "live" do so, she is fantastic.
