This was my first game to the series and I fell in love with the story and characters. I don't care what anyone else says. Soul Edge / Blade is the original and best of the entire series.

@ajshim My nephew just picked up Soul Caliber 4 in the bargain bin for the 360 and it's terrible. The story mode is almost non existent compared to soul Blade and the whole graphics package is worse IMO. It may be more shiny and rounded, but the levels and characters were much better in the original.

@82nickbrad Soul Blade was literally AMAZING. I also thought that SC, SC2 and SC3 were also AMAZING, but I hated SC4 for many reasons, mainly because I though that putting Star Wars characters in the game was wrong. Now Namco have seem to have destroyed the series further by setting SC5 17 years later which means that my favourite female characters such as Taki, Sophitia, Seung Mina and Xianghua will not appear in that game as they will now be too middle aged to be in it now.
