And of course, all of those eminent people who have honored this man for his work are completely misled somehow. Try applying the energy you expend on tearing down those like Muhammad Yunus to doing a little bit of good yourself and while you are at it, please direct me to your curriculum vitae which no doubt rivals that of your target for criticism

I am happy that we agree on one issue -that polemics never do good. So in order to arrive at the truth I would request you to provide hard facts about his estimated wealth and the amount of shares he holds etc... I would say a salary of up to 500k-1mn$ a year is well within limits (even engineers earn more in california)and he deserves it. So dont say he owns two cars and two houses and stuff like that. I can understand and argue only when i know that you are not pulling facts from your arse.

The people own it and the goal of grameen phone is to provide the cheapest connectivity possible to all Bangladeshis. A woman given a small loan will do something like organize her village to build a well where the social fabric of her community is strengthened, where a huge,multi-million dollar project to build a dam will destroy the social fabric of the society it was intended to help.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Partnership based and interest-free mechanisms are needed to help the poor in order to improve their livelihoods. It would be wonderful if poverty alleviation policies were adopted on a mass scale by governments to widen its benefits rather than leaving it to individuals only..
