  • @BrenTheGorgeous I've heard about the B9 but never actually been linked to any audio of it. I'd love to hear it though.

  • Half of these girls are using operatic headvoice :/

  • I have a point of clarification... these ladies aren't really "belting" these women are singing in their head voice (aka falsetto). Belting is more so something they do in their chest voice... like Shaun Pace when she sings up high...those high notes are belts becuase they are full chest voice

  • LOL the expression on that boy's face at 1:19 says it all!

These are some SAAAANGAAANG sopranos! Yas!

  • If you like high notes, check out Edita Gruberova singing the 1912 version of Zerbinetta's aria where she sings two F#s in alt or the Mozart concert aria Popoli de tesssaglia that has two Gs in alt.

  • All God gifted vocalists. Sandi gave me the chills. She has the perfect balance of vocal beauty and power.

  • Now that's a soprano!

  • I can do them notes! I'm a soprano, too. My voice already squeaky so it's expected. : \

  • @luhkelsgoinhard93 you can do these notes too in full voice or head voice only?

  • @okebaram Full. My range is VERY high.

  • @luhkelsgoinhard93 wow that's really awesome! I wish you had videos, cause I would really like to see your range on display. So one other question, what's the highest note you can reach in full, that is if you have measured it?

  • @okebaram I've never measured it. How do I do that? Do you know?

  • The way I would do it is use a piano and play each note before I sing it or find it after I sing it. I'll do that for my highest notes until I find my max. You can also download and use AP tuner (do a google search) to measure notes you sing into your computer mic, but it tends to fluctuate all over the place due to radio waves and background noise unless you hold the note steady, so I prefer using a piano. But if you can record a video or just audio and post, I can measure it on my piano 4 you

  • honestly sometimes I think Rachelle Ferell is an alien or something, she sing words n notes that are unheard of and when she’s on the keys,,,,,,,,the girl is Ig'nent Good she can’t be human with all that talent, makes no sense man

  • Nice tribute. Missing Lecresia.

  • love ms sandy patty!!!

  • i think i can go a little higher than most of these people. but, then i would be screaming.

  • the highest wistle note is a C#8 and its is above the piano and it was performed by adam Lopez hes in the guiness book of world records look him up

  • @musicalcritic09 actually Georgia Brown is the Guiness world record holder for the highest whistle note (G10)! There are even videos on youtube where you can here her do a live C#8 or a studio G8.... Adam Lopez had the record for the highest note by a MALE, not the highest ever. Also, I can promise you that although it is quite rare, there are still people in the world who can go as high and higher than the records

  • @musicalcritic09 Adam has the record but another male has a whole octave on him. Nicola Sedda, highest note A9.

  • @hessounusual95 Adam has hit b9 before , it just wasn't at the time of the record which they test in person.

  • One thing I've always wondered... Can someone actually train to be a super soprano? (That's what my teacher used to call them.) I would think it would be amazing to get to the point that some of these women go.

  • @cryingroseblood training, skill and technique can make bring someone closer to a super soprano in vocal ability. But a person's natural voice type is a very decisive factor in the "super sopranoness" of an individual

  • @cryingroseblood LOOK UP Maella G. Spires..... that gurl has got sum pipes

  • I heard Sarah Jordan- Powell last year at the COGIC midnight musical, and it took her a min to hit those notes, but she finally made it.

  • @Atldarknight lolz y u say it lyk tht lmbo dnt Sarah lyk tht

  • that 2nd lady WHEW.AND THE LADY AT 6:40 LORD.

  • DID YALL HEAR TINA?????? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • And Lecersia Campbell is a awesome soprano too, she's missing. i love when she sings blessed assurance.

  • Felicia Evans..just awesome!

  • Felicia ; Ernestine are in pure head Sandy Patti is also in pure head voice. Only Rachelle Ferrell, the first two girls, Tina Watson (who switch in pure head for the highest notes and whistle also) and Pattie were singing in their belting natural full voice (mixed voice). The highest note i've ever head in belting voice is still D6!

  • @ 9:00 the choir is just trippin.

  • Rachelle Ferrell = BEAUTY.

  • I Like the 1st Lady to sing

  • @spirmusic Ok so you and me could be friends lol

  • No way the chest register can reach G7. Maybe in a mix but definitely not FULL chest.

  • @mulioctaveman That is in full-upper/"mixed" voice.

  • @spirmusic Ok now I get it, but u said it like they were truly belting in chest-voice on a G7 which is riddiculous.

  • @mulioctaveman none of the singers here got anywhere close to a G7 in these clips. Highest note here is G6 (still VERY impressive). But the statement in the description simply means that if you got the highest sopranos or tenors that God created, they would be able to belt a G7 in their full natural voices. However when the full voice is lifted really high, its tonal placement usually sits in an "overflow" that many people prefer to call "mixed voice" rather than "chest voice".

  • @spirmusic I understand exactly and G6 is still very impressive. However, the "overflow" can no longer be referred to as Chest Voice because the resonance no longer lies in your chest cavaity. It resonates more in nasal cavity in between head and chest. i.e. a mix between the two. But I'm not trying to despute you or anything cause actually enjoying this conversation. I love talking to fellow music lovers.

  • @mulioctaveman Not even in mixed, only in whistle lol

  • @theoneandonly2503 it may seem impossible but it's not. Some singers, especially very high sopranos, have ranges that allow their full voice to extend into a lyric upper voice where there would have been a break into head voice. With some singers, their upper voice can sounds close to falsetto, for average listeners, and can be very different in tone from the lower region of their full voice. I'm sure I can't prove it to you, but ALL of these ladies were singing in full voice.

  • @spirmusic Well they sound to me like the typical lyric voices, they were in head voice, when they are mixing, we can hear it. It doesn't sound like chest AT ALL. They are not BELTING AT ALL. They are just singing very powerfully in their head voice. I don't get why your are calling that mixed voice or chest voice. All is said in my first comment.

  • @theoneandonly2503 believe it or not, they are singing in full/mixed voice NOT head voice. There are ladies who have even lighter voices than the ones featured in this video, and as such are often mistaken to be singing in falsetto/head voice when they are belting. Ask any true soprano with a light voice what this ladies are singing in. She would swear to you it's full voice, and it absolutely is - a 1-million percent guarantee. The voice is more amazing and mysterious than many people know.

  • Nice stuff. Check out Karen Kelly "And the angels called him Jesus". She hits "G" over Soprano "C" no problem!!

  • @MichaelGaribaldi Thank you for the link. That lady has an amazing range. Hope you enjoyed this video as well. I'm working on a part 2.

  • Felicia has AMAZING support. It's not throaty and she's singing actual words. Get it!

  • whats are the ranges for males? i can go as high as C#6 in head and can belt Bb4s. but can go as low as F2.
