i always lost balance if i try to do the splits in that way, i had to bend the torso to the floor and stand on my haands and that getting so far, i teared the hamstrings doing that and i fall on my back , that's why im not gonna to those again,
Hey wassup i got a question, on the minut 1:47 you didn't experiment a hip pain ? well im 16 but i feel that pain everytime i stretch out on the split, everytiem i feel the pain i have to take my torso and put it into the ground, its the only way i can reach the ground with my legs, but if i try to put my chest back vertical it starts the hip paint on both sides ? what i must have to do ? Thanks for all the comments everyone. It's best to stretch after 5-10 minutes warm up. Then stretch to the point where you are able to execute the kick with power, which mean do not stretch too much before you kick. If you do stretch too much, your muscles will be tire and it seem like jelly. You will lose power that way. Then after your training you can stretch more...and try to stretch even if you are not kicking because it will improve your flexibility over all...
i am a naturaly stiff person, but i love Taekwondo. it is very discouraging when you cant kick high, it also effects your accuracy in placement of the kicks, is there anything else i can do besides these streches that would help me quicker??

its a bad habit to flail your arms like that during the first kick, hold your arms close to your body as if blocking but you got great flexabilitiy and strength
@BonelessSkull 1.) It's a stretch kick, so he's trying to get his knee as close to his torso as possible, he's not worried about blocking 2.) In a real kick, you wouldn't be kicking that high to begin with, so you can keep your hands in front of your body
@astrixx The point isn't to get your knee to your torso, its to let your momentum flow threw to your toes, that's the most effective stretch kick. 2. Its a bad habit to let your arms flail out like that. If you practice with your arms always flailing out then your instinctive mind will pick up on that and only think about the offense and not the defense.
Your back must be strong to do those stretches. Can you use the ab roller in one of your video's to show proper form? When I do it on my toes, it hurts my back,
kikko4e-It is normal that you get a sore tendon on the inner thigh once you go down to split. I feel the pain too, but before you go down to split or any type of stretching, do a quick warm up from 5 - 10 minutes to get your muscles warm. Also do all the necessary stretch first before you go down to split. Take your time do not go down into split right way. There are also excercise you can do to help strenghthen your inner thigh and help ease off the pain. Take care!

Yes, its great to do it after you jog...because your muscles are warmed which make stretching a bit more easier.
